The Walton Park Hotel has been welcoming guests to its clifftop perch above Clevedon since the late nineteenth century. Tastefully restored to honour its original Victorian character, the hotel combines period charm with the comforts and flexibility that modern couples expect from a wedding venue.

Set within two acres of immaculately kept landscaped gardens, the hotel enjoys one of the most dramatic settings in North Somerset. The views across the Bristol Channel are quite simply spectacular, providing a natural backdrop that no marquee or function suite could ever replicate. The Walton Park Hotel is able to offer a choice of five rooms, able to seat up to 130 guests for wedding ceremonies, and up to 150 for receptions.

Somerset Suite

As The Walton Park Hotel's primary function room, this suite has admirable views over the Bristol Channel to the Welsh coast beyond. The room boasts its own private bar and dancefloor.

Ceremony capacity - 150 guests

Reception capacity - 130 guests

Avon and Waverley Suites

These newly-refurbished rooms share similar spectacular views to that enjoyed from the Somerset Suite, but enhanced by their own private outdoor balconies. Arranged as a central reception space with a dancefloor and bar to the side. Separately, the Avon Suite can seat 40-120 for a ceremony, and the Waverley up to 80.

Wellington Suite

This room is perfect for more intimate ceremonies and receptions, and can be used in conjunction with the hotel's Walton Suite for more flexibility.

The Walton Park Hotel offers couples who wish to get married outdoors the chance to tie the knot in the pretty licensed pavilion, which is romantically hidden away in the intricate system of clifftop coastal gardens. Get in touch for more information.

Walton Park Hotel's wedding catering is run by a highly capable in-house team, who operate the venue's popular restaurant full time. Sourcing locally when possible, and consistently providing a range of delicious cuisine, they are sure to impress.

Accommodation

The hotel offers 40 individually designed and spacious rooms. As this is a relatively venerable 19th-century house, its renovators will have gone to great lengths either to preserve or work sympathetically alongside the original features of the building, and as a result, no two rooms will be the same. Showcasing a mixture of double, single and twin rooms all equipped with free internet, TV with Freeview, heated towel rails and other luxuries, this venue has a great deal to offer you and your guests!

    With guests from across the UK and Europe arriving and trying to check in all at once the day before, too the wedding itself, meal and evening party all was handled with calm professionalism.

    Nikki, Pat, Paddy and all the staff are true stars. Nothing was too much trouble, the day ran like clockwork and not a single complaint was heard.

    You accommodated our every wish, the food was excellent, the special diets were delighted with their food, no second rate offerings for them at this Hotel.

    You may or may not be pleased to hear that there has been a suggestion we have a party with all the family for our first anniversary, at your hotel!

    Just had a most pleasant stay at the Best Western Walton Park Hotel for a wedding and I would thoroughly recommend this venue to any bride and groom who were thinking about hotels/venues etc.

    The staff were most helpful and I must thank in particular Pat McCarthy who went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure that all of our guests needs were attended to. Beautiful views overlooking the Bristol Channel and Clevedon Pier which is nearby which makes a great back-drop for wedding photos.

    Had a great time here for my son's wedding. The staff couldn't have been more friendly, Nicky who was our wedding coordinator was exceptional and went that extra mile for all of us including the guests that stayed over.

    We all ate in the evening at the bar, which was typical pub grub, very tasty and I can recommend the Steak & Mushroom pie.

    Breakfast before the wedding was very good self service with fresh tea & coffee taken to your table.

    Our room was very comfortable with excellent views out over the channel, although we could see Wales ;)

    My wife and I would like to express our sheer gratitude to every single member of staff at the Walton Park Hotel for their help in making our wedding special.

    Right from the start, the help and flexibility we received with our planning was amazing, it really did feel like every request we made was no trouble whatsoever, and I can't tell you how much stress was taken away thanks to this. This was especially true for meal alterations due to allergies.

    On the day of our wedding I felt like royalty, and that the friendly staff wanted to join us in celebration and their only goal was to make sure everything went to plan, and that we had a good time.

    The building itself is beautiful and was spotlessly clean. I have been asked to pass on thanks from guests who stayed there on the night of our wedding. They felt like the rate they paid was exceptionally good for the room they received, and for the delicious buffet breakfast the next morning.

    Which leads me on to the food. If there is one thing I could suggest from all of this, its that the hotel retains all of it's kitchen staff. Our wedding meal was so delicious and wonderfully presented I wish I could eat it all over again!
