Alice and Jeremy Acton, along with their family own the house and land. Originally built in 1540 by Alices family (the Cely Trevilian), this property is brimming with history and love and ready to welcome you.
The house dates from 1540, the time of Henry VIII, providing you with the perfect backdrop in the extensively landscaped gardens and up to 400 acres of buildings, farmland and woods. The venue is located down a private road providing exclusivity and privacy as well as extensive parking space for all your guests.
Facilities
The Potting Shed, House and Gardens
Situated in the heart of the garden is the wonderful 18th century Potting Shed, a huge barn with lovely old stonework and ancient beams. To make it even more charming it is covered in 1920's flower show prize cards creating a rustic and vintage aesthetic. Let's not forget the barn pool table and a whole lot of room to relax. You may choose this space to have a standing drinks reception or to have a sit-down meal on long trestle tables.
Seated capacity - up to 110 guests
Standing capacity - up to 150 guests
Gardens
The 17th century walled garden is a tranquil space, ideal for drinks and canapes. Delicate scents of sweetly smelling roses, lavender and seasonal blooms fill the air, whilst the vibrant colours appease the eye. The Round Garden, right next to the Potting Shed, can host a large marquee or tipi for up to 150 guests.
You are also able to have a ceremony in the Bowling Green Garden for up to 150 guests
