Located within 40 acres of beautiful woodland, by the foothills of Dartmoor, midway between Exeter and Plymouth, just 15 minutes off the end of the M5 and only one mile off the main A38, Yurtcamp is easily accessible from all areas of the country. Featuring a thatched pavilion licensed for civil wedding ceremonies, with plenty to do (full sized woodland assault course and zip line), and the opportunity to celebrate your big event by a campfire under the stars, it makes a very attractive scenario indeed.
Yurtcamp offers the perfect venue for couples to get married and celebrate in a unique beautiful place - our Wedding Barn offers a gorgeous setting for your wedding breakfast and our Giant Tipi is an enchanting structure for live bands and DJ's. Yurtcamp is also very wheelchair friendly, with easy access to all wedding areas, a disabled toilet and shower, and several yurts.
Furthermore, you have site exclusivity for two days (from midday Friday to midday Sunday), with your friends and family staying in our luxury yurts to give you a fabulous weekend get together celebration.
There are yurts of various sizes to suit different needs, some arranged to resemble a village, others being more secluded. On site there are also farm-animal pens, a games field, zip wire and woodland adventure course, so there's no need to worry about either you or your guests being short of something to do; with the endless list of activities, you'll have a jam-packed wedding celebration you'll remember forever.
The main cluster of yurts are situated in relatively close proximity to one another, to give a reassuring sense of community and a comforting, homely village feel. However, you can easily venture further into enchanting woodland isolation if you prefer to do so. There is a choice of large or small yurts, as well as the more remote and secluded woodland yurts - see below for details.
Civil marriage ceremonies are conducted in the extremely popular Thatched Pavilion, which will accommodate up to 100 seated guests, plus room for more standing. If a traditional wedding breakfast or formal reception is planned, this usually follows. Book soon to avoid disappointment!

The luxurious large village yurts come inclusive of the comfiest king-size beds, warm and plump duvets and pillows, partitions for creating separate bedrooms, plus pots, pans, cutlery, crockery, tables and chairs, solar lights and a gas stove. They are conveniently positioned just a short walk from toilet refreshment facilities which contain plenty of showers, hairdryers and mirrors.

I fully recommend this wonderful establishment for a family weekend wedding. Set in a beautiful woodland in Liverton, Devon. The owner David runs a warm, friendly and professional team. They work incredibly hard to provide a first class experience of yurt camping. If you have never camped, I would absolutely give this a go! The yurts were beautifully maintained and clean, with crisp white bedsheets and cosy bedding. David, the owner provides wood in the woodshed and it's also fun to go gathering for kindling etc in the woodland. The yurt camps have everything you need for a comfortable stay. Kettle, wood stove, gas stove, pretty fairy lights and well functioning solar lights. There's nothing better than going to bed looking up a the night sky, through the top of the yurt, and waking up to the morning light. The site is maintained beautifully and it's easy to move around. Wheelbarrows are provided for luggage. The toilet blocks are warm, cosy and very clean and well maintained. David worked really hard to keep these all lovely and clean during the wedding. There is another toilet block by the barn. Huge thanks to owner, David and his team. They ensured we had the best ever family wedding weekend!

The moment that we walked into Yurtcamp we all agreed that the setting was magnificent and would be the place to have a fantastic wedding.
The open sided Wedding Barn with its sails, the Giant Tipi, The Woodland Cafe, the Yurt Village, all set within very well prepared grounds and surrounded by fabulous woodland, absolutely perfect.
The total freedom of the whole site allowed us to express our every wish for decoration and layout.
David the owner did everything we wished of him and he made himself available for the whole weekend to ensure that we were happy, and we certainly were. Excellent.
The Yurts were really well appointed and the village feel made our stay great fun, everyone loved them.
Stuart at The Woodland Café is also a great host and made everyone very welcome with an excellent range of quality food and drinks.

I recently attended my daughters wedding at The Yurt camp at Liverton. The site was beautiful, well laid out and very clean. The staff were friendly & helpful. The food was excellent. Due to work commitments we couldn't stay overnight but have been informed by other wedding guests enjoyed their stay in the Yurts. This is an ideal venue for a wedding due to its beauty and relaxed atmosphere.
The Yurtcamp is the most magical place. Our son and daughter in law got married there last year. It is pretty much a blank canvas but there so many lovely areas to decorate it looked absolutely beautiful when finished. The whole day and evening was amazing. I would definitely recommend it as a venue.
Myself and my partner got married here; we absolutely loved it. We were given our own space by the staff, but they were never far away when we needed something. With over 200 people attending our wedding and +60 staying onsite Yurt Camp received nothing but compliments. We are hoping to go back again soon, and want to wish David and Jonathan all the best for the place and a big thank you for being so easy and laid-back to deal with.
