The venue has a rich heritage — set in a secluded copse amidst Cornish moorland and with connections to Cornwall’s mining past. It combines rustic charm with a relaxed, intimate wedding feel, supported by a friendly team experienced in creating magical events in a moorland environment.

Facilities

The Hotel provides a licensed Moorland Room for civil ceremonies, with the option to hold your vows on the peak (“the pinnacle”) under a canopy, offering unobstructed panoramic views. The Moorland Room features rustic oak furnishings, a bar, and seating for up to 50 guests.

For larger celebrations, the venue can cater for up to 150 people using buffet or hog roast style, indoors or under marquee setups. Evening entertainment is encouraged with DJ or live band options, and the venue is licensed for alcohol until midnight.

Catering

Catering is flexible and tailored to your needs: a bespoke two- or three-course meal for smaller weddings, or a more relaxed buffet or hog roast for larger groups. The team also offers welcome drinks, canapés, and desserts to fit the style and size of your day.

Accommodation

On-site accommodation can host up to around 60 guests, including classic hotel rooms in the main building and glamping options such as wooden chalets and bell tents on the moor. Each glamping unit includes heating, sockets, and countryside views. Guests can also enjoy a group breakfast the morning after the wedding for a relaxed conclusion to the celebrations.
