• Mr and Mrs Shingles

  We had our wedding at the House of St John's last weekend, and can truly say that we loved every minute of it! The process of planning our Ceremony was seamless from start to finish. Amy and the team were truly professional, friendly, responsive and thorough. Amy, in particular, went above and beyond, even giving us advice on questions to ask our Wedding Celebrant, and guidance on how to give notice (as neither of us had been married before, we really appreciated these tips!) We were also signposted and given discount to an affiliated accommodation option nearby (St Catherines, which our guests loved).
  
  We were made to feel comfortable and relaxed from the outset, and felt reassured by Amy's attention to detail. On the day, we were totally blown away by how stunning the room and venue looked. The flowers were beautiful, and the backdrop to the venue (Queen Square) added some extra glamour to the day. We also paid to have their resident Cellist play our favourite songs for us as I walked down the aisle, which was lovely.
  
  The team seemed genuinely happy and excited for us on the day, and it was clear that they wanted to make sure we had a fantastic time. Everything went smoothly on the day in terms of timings, and we appreciated being able to enjoy a celebratory glass of bubbles in the sunny courtyard. Some of our guests also enjoyed looking at the history of the building (as you can see evidence of shelling from WW2). We were even allowed to bring our Dog!
  
  We had great feedback from our friends and family (and even our Photographers!) on the beauty and quality of the venue, and would not hesitate to recommend this secret spot to other couples who are looking to get married. Being one of the first full weddings at the House, it was a testament to how well the team did, as you'd have thought they'd done this a hundred times before!
  
  We can't thank Amy and the team enough, and will cherish the memories of this day forever.

  We had our wedding ceremony at this beautiful and historic house and it was everything we'd ever dreamed of.
  
  The venue is in the most perfect location, overlooking Queen Square where you can truly embrace the history and beauty entwined. It also provides the most stunning scenic background for your photographs.
  
  It truly is perfect for your more intimate weddings.
  
  Aside from the stunning location and the magnificent building itself, the entire organisation from Amy our wedding coordinator and the staff, they made our day absolutely flawless. Everything was timed perfectly, each process was explained in detail, there were no mistakes, no sense of pressure or stress and it was truly a magical and very relaxed day.
  
  If you're thinking of getting married here, all I can say is do it.

  From the moment we stepped into The House of St John’s in Bath, we knew it was the place we wanted to get married. The building is absolutely stunning – full of classic Georgian elegance – but still felt warm, welcoming, and intimate. It was exactly what we were looking for.
  The ceremony space took our breath away. It was so beautifully set up – simple, stylish, and full of natural light. The flowers from Honeysuckle Flower Co. were just perfect and brought the whole room to life. It all felt so personal and meaningful.
  We honestly can’t say enough good things about Amy and Georgia, our incredible wedding planners. They were with us every step of the way – kind, calm, attentive, and completely on top of every little detail. Thanks to them, the day ran so smoothly and we felt so relaxed and present.
  If you're dreaming of an intimate, elegant wedding in a truly special setting, we couldn’t recommend The House of St John’s more. It gave us memories we’ll treasure forever. Thank you so much.
