About

Trinity House stands behind a cobbled and railed courtyard looking out onto the elegant Trinity Square Gardens and its memorials. Whilst the tranquil atmosphere of the venue effortlessly separates it from the activity of the capital’s financial area, Trinity House enjoys all the advantages of proximity to the City of London and its transport links. It is situated just a short walk from Tower Hill underground station with Aldgate and Monument underground stations also within walking distance while major rail links are just a tube or cab ride away.

And if you weren’t already blown away by Trinity House, you will be when you read about all the incredible films it has featured in; we’re a little bit star-struck!

The venue stands behind a set of iron railings and cobbled paving, the setting for a segment of the James Bond movie ‘Skyfall’. Indeed, the railings have featured in several filmed productions including ‘Lara Croft: Tomb Raider’, ‘Johnny English Reborn’ and the classic 70’s TV series, ‘The Professionals’ - and a starring role in ‘Invisible Woman’ about Charles Dickens released in 2014. Pretty impressive right!

We absolutely loved our wedding at Trinity House and would highly recommend it. From the moment we visited and saw the beautiful interiors and view of the Tower of London and Trinity Square Gardens, we knew we had found the perfect venue for a London wedding.

The Library was the ideal size for the ceremony and the ornate Court Room was a very special setting for our drinks reception. The venue as a whole is stunning yet still feels very relaxed and intimate, with the different parts of the day flowing well through the various rooms.

Natasha and Zoe were wonderful throughout the whole process and put us at ease from the start with their knowledge and experience. They ensured our day went as smoothly as possible and were always responsive and helpful. They also suggested lovely little details that made the day extra special, such as having a first celebratory drink after the ceremony in private in the Reading Room and ringing the bell from the Royal Yacht Britannia to announce our arrival into the Court Room to our guests.

Trinity House is a truly memorable venue and we could not imagine a better place for a London wedding ceremony.

We got married at Trinity House in September 2021. It is an amazing venue that we were lucky to hold our wedding ceremony and drinks reception there.

We were looking for a central London venue that was easy for everyone to get to. Tucked behind Trinity Gardens with amazing views of the city (and close to the station for those people travelling in): Trinity House perfectly fit the bill.

All our guests loved the historic venue. It was a great conversation starter for people just coming out of lockdown and making their first outing into London after a long time. We particularly enjoyed ringing HMS Britannia ship's bell just because we could. The courtyard at the front was an impressive greeting spot for our guests, and it really helped with logistics with having somewhere for our hire cars to wait.

Natasha was wonderful throughout, helping us reschedule and cope with ever changing government regulations, also her suggestion of having the chairs in herringbone layout was a masterstroke, it really enabled our guests to talk to people not just next to each other but rows in front and behind as well. She was also more than happy to accommodate our daft music requests and crisp buffet in the reception, which helped make us more at ease in the grand venue!

The location of Trinity House and the views from the staterooms can only be described as incredible! Fine summer weather allowed for our guests to enjoy canapés and a glass or two of Tinwood English sparkling wine outside the front of the House. We then moved to the Library for our wedding breakfast. We chose long tables in a Mess Dinner style and the format worked amazingly well enabling us to seat 112 guests. One thing we would thoroughly recommend is making use of the minstrel’s gallery. We had a string trio playing during our meal which kept our friends and family entertained and added to the atmosphere. Our wedding catering was provided by Payne & Gunter who did an incredible service and food so tasty it would definitely be considered comparable to a top London restaurant.

Following dinner, we moved into the Court Room for the Best Man speech and cutting of wedding cakes, with a naval sword of course! During the evening further friends arrived and we moved to the Pepys Room where a session band kept our guests dancing into the night.

Our guests were amazed by the rich maritime history inside Trinity House and were impressed by the reception rooms’ ability to feel both fittingly formal and intimate at the same time. We are both pleased to say, Trinity House is definitely the ultimate London wedding venue!

Our wedding day at Trinity House was just perfect in every way. It is a beautiful building which oozes character and history, kept in immaculate condition.

The grand staircase, stained glass windows, paintings and décor are stunning, as are the views of Tower Bridge, Tower of London and Trinity Square from the huge upstairs windows. We looked at a number of venues before coming to Trinity House and when we saw it we just knew that it was exactly what we were looking for.

We had use of the entire building for the day, and it did not feel too big (like some other venues we viewed) for our wedding party of 45.

Zoe was just wonderful to deal with and provided us with excellent advice throughout the wedding planning. She put us in touch with excellent suppliers and was always available to provide ideas and suggestions when we were not sure what to do. Upon her advice we chose to have the ceremony in the Court Room, drinks reception at the Entrance Hall, and the meal in the Library with everyone sitting at one long table, which due to our small number of guests worked very well.

Zoe was extremely professional, helpful, kind and well organised in dealing with ourselves and in coordinating things with the caterers, florist, photographers, and piper. Many of our guests mentioned to us how impressed they were with Trinity House and how well the day went.
