The Norfolk venue provides the basis for all of your wedding needs, providing The Drawing Room room for an intimate ceremony and a larger garden or marquee area for an incredible reception.
The 18th Century hall is conveniently located at an almost equidistance from both the picturesque coast and Norfolk's county town, Norwich. Since 1947 the hall has been independently owned and, outside of renting it out for weddings, the family still use the hall as their private home.
The mansion has featured in two BBC shows, A Fatal Inversion and A Mill on The Floss, as well as being featured in several editorial publications.
The hall provides an intimate, private room for your ceremony itself, as well as outdoor space for you to make use of for your wedding breakfast and reception.
The Drawing Room is licenced for civil ceremonies and perfect for a smaller service. The room is decorated in a simple, classical style and boasts a crystal chandelier, large fireplace and wide, airy windows.

The walled gardens are perfect for an outdoor celebration. The venue serves as a blank canvas that you can mould as you wish. Either set up an outdoor ceremony or hire a marquee and enjoy the celebration of a lifetime.

All of our guests loved this amazing venue and our photographer was in heaven! Thurning Hall is going to hold a special place in our hearts for the rest of our lives and we'll be back to reminisce on our special day in no time!
My husband decided he didn't want to look at any other venues the minute we walked through the door, Pauline is the most sweet, lovely lady and was really accommodating of our ideas, allowing us to have the fires blazing and to fill the place with candles. The ceremony was intimate and the celebrations afterwards joyous & glamorous. The photos we have to treasure forever are just stunning and we would do it all again tomorrow in a heartbeat! We could not have found a more relaxed and unconventional venue anywhere which is just what we were looking for, Thurning Hall is somewhere with a bit of spirit not at all bland & boring.
Words cannot describe what an amazing venue this is. We had the best day of our lives in the stunning gardens of this beautiful house. All of our guests were totally blown away by the scenery and walled gardens, its all they have been talking about! It was totally perfect for us and makes a perfect outdoor wedding site in summer particularly, as you don't need any flowers because the gardens are so beautiful already!
