History This public house, nestled on the banks of the River Thames, has been running for nearly 150 years and is one of Putney's best kept secrets. The building still retains much of its Victorian charm, especially its ballroom. Modernised for 21st century brides, the room has art deco accents, modern chandeliers, high ceilings and duck egg blue walls. Despite its grand nature, the ballroom has plenty of natural light and is completely self-contained. With an unbeatable view of Putney Bridge, the venue has offered one of the best spots from which to watch the start of the Oxford and Cambridge University boat race.
