With breath-taking views of the rolling countryside or the River Trent in every direction, the gardens and grounds are something straight out of a fairy-tale. Watching the sunset over the river with the gardens lit up makes for a magical evening transformation as you make your way to one of 42 rooms at The Priest House. They truly have everything sorted for you.

About

The Priest House on the River is a historic building that dates back to the time of the Doomsday Book. It was originally a mill complex, and the area became known as "Kings Mills" when the power of the water wheels was used to stamp coins of realm. The mills were besieged on February 15th, 1664, during the Civil War. The main defending forces were in The Priest House. After taking the cliff, the Roundheads "beat down the windows and stormed in". They were destroyed by a fire in 1927. Today, only the Norman Tower of The Priest House remains.
