Located within the grounds of beautiful Mount Edgecumbe Park on the Cornish coast, The Orangery is a beautiful space featuring plenty of period details whilst also being remarkably open and light; perfect for weddings of any size!
Built in the late 18th century, The Orangery opens onto the resplendent Italian gardens of Mount Edgecumbe Park, offering a stunning backdrop for your day. Catering is provided in-house and everything is seen to by the venue's wedding coordinator, meaning all you have to do is enjoy yourselves.
Built in 1775 as part of the Mount Edgecumbe estate, The Orangery was originally just that - an orangery. Exquisitely designed as a perfect example of Georgian architecture, the Orangery is now a fully-functioning restaurant and events space and has built up a reputation for excellent food and service.
Although The Orangery is a reception-only venue, couples may arrange to have their wedding ceremony in the house at Mount Edgecumbe Park.
This 100 foot-long open space is just perfect for weddings, allowing dining to take place at one end whilst the dancefloor is set up at the other. The floor-to-ceiling windows let in plenty of natural light and look out over the harbour on one side and the Italian gardens on the other.

Evening reception capacity: 200 guests
Yours for the duration of your wedding day, you are welcome to use the Italian gardens however you see fit. It can serve as a wonderful backdrop for photographs as well as a great place for sneaking away for a Pimms and lemonade if you need a break from dancing!
The Orangery is known locally not just as a stunning wedding location, but also as a great restaurant. Couples getting married there get to take advantage of the Orangery's talented chefs, who can prepare a three-course sit down meal, a buffet, or even a hog roast!

AddressThe Orangery is simply stunning on a warm day like we had and no other venue would have a combination of beautiful maintained grounds on one side and the harbour on the other. The space is open and light and has plenty of room to make it your own. The venue is only half of what you get though. The service and attention to detail from Michelle and her team is second to none and they absolutely nailed it in every way. There were even some small personal touches they managed to add which impressed my hugely. All of this combined with huge value for money makes it a no-brainer. BEST DAY EVER!
Our wedding day was made extra special by having our reception at The Orangery. Michelle and her team were amazing. Always flexible, supportive and offering great advice. The food was super, and excellent value. Mostly, I remember Michelle's smiley face, always available, calm and ready for anything that came her way! I had looked just about everywhere in Cheshire but when I stumbled upon The Orangery at Mount Edgcumbe Country Park I instantly fell in love. We couldn't have asked for a more picturesque location with gardens and looks out over the Plymouth sound. The staff couldn't do enough for us and were exceptional. The food was incredible and such a reasonable cost, especially as it was fresh local produce and tasted amazing. The band were incredible and all of our guests have fallen in love with this place as much as us. Many are already looking to return for holidays. You will not be disappointed.
