The Old Rectory

As a family run country house, the stylish Old Rectory Hotel is steeped in history. The site also boasts landscaped gardens with a pergola, gazebo and fountain, perfect for those wedding photographs.

Tucked away from the bustle of the city, this venue offers luxury accommodation, providing a peaceful retreat after your special day. The hosts also offer plenty of tailored options for catering.

About

The original Old Rectory dates back to the mid-18th century and served the nearby Crostwick Church. It is now privately owned by the Solomon family who have transformed the property into the beautiful country hotel.

As a family run business, The Old Rectory offer a professional and friendly service hoping to meet all expectations of this wonderful venue. With their experienced wedding coordinator, you can organise every aspect of your event from timings to décor to ensure everything is the way you wish. The Old Rectory also have an experienced butler who will ensure your day runs smoothly by coordinating events and making announcements when needed.

Facilities

The Old Rectory offers wedding decoration to suit any couples style, they include hoops of flowers and pedestals around the room, napkins in a colour of your choice, cake stand and knife and a white table top skirt. Both rooms are available for ceremonies.

Victoriana Suite

For smaller parties, the Victoriana Suite offers an intimate and cosy space. This versatile venue can cater for either your ceremony or wedding breakfast and includes an adjoining lounge.

Conservatory Restaurant

Envision your ideal day at The Old Rectory, where ceremonies take place in the spacious conservatory, with garden views. This wonderful airy room can also double up as a reception venue with an ideal acoustic ceiling and central dance floor.

Ceremony capacity - 110 guests
Wedding breakfast capacity - 110 guests
Reception capacity - 150 guests

Catering

The Old Rectory focuses strongly on providing the best locally sourced produce for their guests, through their in-house catering. With a comprehensive menu selection, couples can choose their own bespoke menu and drink selection to suit their big day, including a barbecue or hog roast in the garden. For that extra special occasion, you can also enjoy a cheese board buffet, or pic n' mix selection.

Accommodation

There are 16 en-suite bedrooms at The Old Rectory, four of which are situated in the nearby cottage building across the garden. Newlyweds also receive a complimentary Deluxe Room in which to unwind after the celebrations. This newly refurbished room is styled with a luxury wedding décor in mind, including a white sleigh bed and romantic style furniture.

    Perfect venue for a perfect wedding day. The conservatory is big, light and airy and comfortably sat the 94 guests we had for wedding breakfast. The staff here are amazing and can't do enough for you, Becky the wedding co-ordinator for the hotel is probably the most calm and cool person you could wish to have sort things for you always smiling. On the day the sun shone and we were able to make the most of the wonderful grounds for photos etc, the tables for wedding breakfast were set up beautifully, our thanks also to the chefs and kitchen staff the food was amazing, piping hot. I think the nicest thing about having the wedding here was that we had the whole venue to ourselves as we also booked all the hotel bedrooms which are beautifully decorated, really comfy beds the price per night for a room is very reasonable and includes breakfast.

    We had our wedding at The Old Rectory this weekend, and we couldn't have wished for anything more perfect. From the very first time we went there, Becky and the staff could not have been more helpful. The big day went off without any hitches and Ian made sure we were well looked after at all times . The conservatory was decorated exactly as we'd asked for it to be, the food was excellent (particularly the dessert!), the bar had been stocked with what we'd requested, the rooms were lovely and the staff were exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble. All our guests loved the venue and it's friendly, relaxed atmosphere. A wonderful family run business. Thank you Becky, Ian and all of the staff at The Old Rectory. Xx

    Cannot recommend this place enough. We had the best wedding here. From our first dealing with Ian and Becky and all staff when booking our venue, to leaving the morning after our wedding, they have been totally fantastic. Very welcoming, helpful, flexible, fun and totally awesome! Food was great and venue is just perfect!!
