The Old Hall Hotel's present building dates back to 1573 and was originally named, The New Hall. The building was built by the Earl and Countess of Shrewsbury with the authorisation of Queen Elizabeth the First to provide accommodation for Mary Queen of Scots.

The rich history of this venue combined with its stunning 16th century architecture make it one of the most sought after venues in the spa town of Buxton, offering an idyllic backdrop for your wedding day.

    The fantastic team at The Old Hall Hotel hosted our wedding and we wouldn't have changed a thing. The entire wedding planning process was made so easy and the day was absolutely amazing, we were treated so well by the team and it made it very special. The hotel has such an amazing atmosphere and the staff were very efficient and attentive. We could not have asked for a more perfect day. I was so nervous but even from the start Victoria was very calm and reassuring, we were able to relax and really enjoy the day. The food was also delicious – we couldn't have asked for more.

The reception was held downstairs in The Pauper's Pit which was 'very cool' according to some of our guests. All the staff were amazing, especially Vicky. The day couldn't have gone better.
