Terrace restaurant - the wood-panelled Terrace Restaurant is bright, inviting, and filled with natural light from its ornate windows and French doors. With space for up to 100 guests, it’s an ideal setting for elegant exclusive-use weddings, allowing you to celebrate your special day with family and friends.
Oakwood Room - this room includes a real log fire and original panelling, and invites plenty of natural light. The Oakwood Room can seat up to 60 guests and is the perfect place to host your wedding ceremony or wedding breakfast.
Paris Room - suitable for up to 10 people, the Paris Room is perfect for a small, intimate ceremony.
For your Wedding breakfast the Montagu Arms draws inspiration from the incredible surroundings of the New Forest, offering a modern British menu featuring seasonal and local ingredients.
The Montagu Arms Hotel have 33 luxurious bedrooms and suites, each unique in design and layout. Some rooms have locally-crafted four-poster beds, whilst others feature traditional wood panelling and large lead-lined windows with views over the beautiful grounds. The dog-friendly Courtyard and Hayloft suites are located within the Gertrude-Jekyll inspired gardens with open-plan, family-friendly living spaces and interior design inspired by the British countryside.

Everything about our wedding at the Montagu Arms was perfect!
From the first meeting with Clara the events organiser, the location, the hotel and gardens, the accommodation, the private room for the service and wedding breakfast, the fantastic food, the incredibly caring and helpful staff throughout the hotel, the extra touches such as the bottle of fizz waiting in our room after the wedding was finished and the dog treats and toy for our dog Bertie, everything was so well organised so we could simply enjoy our special day.
We had our intimate wedding ceremony at the Montagu Arms and it was nothing short of amazing. Our first contact was with Clara, who was so helpful and really helped us to plan our day and recommend local suppliers. The day itself was faultless, everyone at the Montagu Arms went above and beyond to make our day as special as possible. All our guests commented on what an incredible venue it was, and the gardens looked spectacular in the sun.
We got married at the Montagu on October 2024 & it was absolutely phenomenal. From the start of the planning process they have been incredible. Thank you so much to Clara & Paige who guided us planning our big day! Everything was absolutely perfect. Every single member of staff was wonderful, we felt so at ease the whole time.
The friendliness of the staff and the fact that we could have the entire hotel to ourselves. We loved the hotel and we were not disappointed. The guests really loved the food – it was a real highlight of the day. Soak in every moment and just enjoy it; the day goes by so quickly and you’ll wish you could relive it!
We wanted an intimate wedding, and when we visited The Montagu Arms, we fell in love with it. The hotel gardens were beautiful, and the location was ideal. We wanted a dog-friendly wedding venue, too, and the set-up at The Montagu Arms meant our dog could be with us for the whole day. Clara, the wedding coordinator, was great on our visit, answering all our questions and being welcoming.
We found The Montagu Arms on a wedding website and fell in love with the charming building and classic English gardens. We decided to visit to see the surrounding New Forest countryside and the venue and were blown away with how quaint and pristine the area was.
We loved the ponies, donkeys and other wildlife and picture-perfect vistas.
We knew this would be an ideal location in Hampshire for a wedding and would make lovely photos for keepsakes. On our visit, Clara was so welcoming and helpful, assisting with any queries we had. We also thought that for the location and the venue, the price was quite reasonable once we compared it to other venues.
The Reception was everything we could have asked for and more, the room looked beautiful, the hotel staff were amazing and the evening entertainment from 'All Parties & Events' was excellent. The food was amazing, people still comment to this day on how delicious the wedding breakfast and Italian evening buffet were.
I really liked how much the venue changed for the evening. The lighting made it look like a completely different venue. I had a brilliant band, The Matt Stafford duo, who kept our guests dancing all night. We also had a magician while there were coffees in the lounge and sparklers later in the garden. The fire pit went down very well with guests too.
The reception was perfect from start to finish. The room was so well decorated by the hotel staff. I was so pleased we didn't have to stress over it at all the day before. There was such a relaxed feeling to the day and all of our guests seemed to really enjoy themselves from the moment they arrived, with drinks and scrumptious canapés. The Wedding Breakfast food and wine was divine as well as the evening buffet.
