The Kings Hotel is set in the picturesque village green of Stokenchurch on the Buckinghamshire/Oxford borders. It can be found two minutes from Junction 5 of the M40, four miles from the British Rail Station in High Wycombe and a 45 minute drive from London.
This 16th century hotel has a modern, chic interior with a choice of ceremony rooms accommodating from 15 to 170 guests and beautiful reception areas that can cater for up to 250 guests. It also has 43 en-suites, boutique bedrooms with special wedding rates available for your guests.
The Kings Hotel was originally known as the George, a 16th Century coaching inn. In 1660 King Charles II visited the inn and thought it unsuitable for Queen Catherine (but absolutely perfect for himself and his paramour, Nell Gwyenn). So the two decided to stay and from then on it was known as The Kings Arms or The Kings for short.
The Kings Hotel has two stylish, fully air-conditioned ceremony suites. The Thames Suite has a ceremony and wedding breakfast capacity of 50 to 170 guests and an evening reception capacity of up to 250 guests. For bookings of over 50 guests you will receive a complimentary menu tasting.
