The Kings Chapel is an all-inclusive venue that can host your ceremony, wedding breakfast and evening reception. The Chapel can seat up to 120 guests on round tables for your wedding breakfast or up to 134 for a scrumptious feast.
This luxury room is the perfect place to exchange your vows with a spectacular domed ceiling and original architectural features. The Main Hall retains the original pulpit which makes the perfect backdrop for your "I Do's", or even stand above the crowd and marry on the pulpit. The Main Hall is also the banqueting space; the team will seamlessly turn the room over from ceremony to wedding breakfast while you enjoy a drink and some photographs. There are several layout options available to make the ceremony room your own.
Dance the night away under glittering chandeliers, the perfect lighting for your first dance. This room is also the indoor option for your drinks reception between the ceremony and wedding breakfast.
The picturesque private walled garden overlooks the Chiltern Hills. If you are dreaming of an intimate outdoor ceremony, the garden is the perfect setting. The space can also host your outdoor drinks reception amongst the blossoming flowers. The garden Horse Box Bar allows guests to grab a drink outside during the drinks reception!
From welcoming canapes, a 2, 3 or 4 course feasts, BBQs to a champagne afternoon tea, the wonderful chef can tailor the menu to suit you! The Kings Chapel has a fabulous selection of evening catering options too including our on-site wood fired pizza oven, hog roast and paella stations!
The main indoor bar stocks a variety of beverages including wine, Champagnes and spirits. They even have their very own Old Amersham gin, infused with botanicals grown in the heart of Amersham.
There is also a residents' bar in the hotel which is open until 2 am and exclusively yours between midnight and 2am.
The Chapel has two 4* hotels which are located right next door. Choose to stay in either The Kings Arms Hotel or The Crown Inn, both of which have disabled access and family suites.

The venue team were a joy to work with throughout, from the open day to the menu tastings through to the wedding itself. The team were always happy to answer our questions (even the silly ones!) and the whole process in the run up to the day was incredibly smooth. We had so many compliments from our friends and family about how lovely the venue was as well as the tasty food. It was so convenient to have so many of our guests staying at the hotel which was a really lovely place to stay. And the 2am late bar was an added bonus too!

We had our wedding at King’s Chapel in Old Amersham and honestly it was everything we hoped for — and more. From the very start, the whole build-up felt calm, organised and exciting rather than stressful (which for a wedding is no small achievement). The team were brilliant at helping us plan the day while still making sure it felt completely personal to us and not like we were just picking from a standard wedding template. The venue itself is absolutely stunning. King’s Chapel has that rare combination of being genuinely beautiful and atmospheric, while still feeling relaxed and welcoming rather than overly formal. It has huge character, incredible light and just the right amount of drama for a wedding. So many of our guests said “wow” when they walked in — which is always a good start. On the day itself it was genuinely magical. The space works so well for moving from ceremony to celebration, and the whole place just seemed to fill with laughter, music, hugs and a fair amount of fizz. Now, like any real wedding day, there were a couple of little hiccups along the way. But what really matters is how things are handled — and the staff were fantastic. Calm, responsive, professional and clearly determined that we were going to have the best day possible. Issues were sorted quickly and quietly and never took away from the joy of the day. In fact, when we look back on it, the best way to describe it is practically perfect — but with just enough slightly chaotic real-life moments to make it a proper wedding rather than a staged photoshoot. We got married here on 28.12.25. The venue was spectacular and lived up to all our dreams. All the staff are so friendly but a huge shout out the Sallieann who was our amazing coordinator. Couldn't have done it without her. Also a shout out for Lara. Food was amazing and a shout out to kitchen. Everyone said how much they enjoyed the hog roast. The whole day went without any hiccups.

Wow, wow, wow! Our wedding at King’s Chapel was an absolute dream from start to finish. From the moment we first visited the venue, we were completely blown away by how stunning it is. Kiera was incredibly helpful, patiently answering all of our questions, and because of her we knew straight away that this was the venue for us! Throughout the planning process, both Sallieann and Kiera were amazing, always on hand, responsive, and so supportive. Sallieann even took the time to contact and coordinate all of our vendors ahead of the day, which meant we could truly relax knowing everything was taken care of. On the day itself, everything ran so smoothly. The venue looked absolutely stunning, and every member of staff went above and beyond to make sure all of our guests were happy and well looked after. The food was incredible! we received so many compliments from our guests, many of whom said it was the best food they’d ever had at a wedding. Even after the wedding, Sallieann and Kiera continued to go the extra mile by leaving us a lovely card and boxes of cake in our room to take home, which was such a thoughtful touch. We cannot wait to come back and celebrate our anniversary at King’s Chapel.

We couldn’t recommend the King’s Chapel enough as a wedding venue. It’s such a quiet and beautiful place. The food was amazing and there was so much of it. Our wedding co-ordinator Lara was so kind and helpful and answered any questions we had with no judgement. We had so many positive comments from our guests too which speaks volumes. All the event staff were great. Just nothing but high praise all round. Thank you!!

We had our wedding here in August 2025 and it was the most amazing day. The venue is so unique and allows you to dress it up the way you like.
Sallie (our wedding planner) was amazing from start to finish and made a very stressful 18 months, as painless as possible! Her expertise and organisation skills allowed us just to enjoy the process, knowing she had everything in hand along the way up until the very end.
Our whole experience was one we’ll never forget and we’re so glad we chose to get married here.
We booked KC because it was by far the most friendly and welcoming venue when we looked round. We were slightly nervous that this would drop off after booking however we could not have been more wrong! The team remained incredibly responsive throughout our 21 month planning period, despite a few extra requests that we had- they remained immediately responsive. Lara was our planner and she was incredibly organised, thorough and friendly on the day. The food was incredible- we got so many compliments. The bridal party got ready at number 40 townhouse- I would 100% recommend other brides to do the same- the house was gorgeous and huge with plenty of space, table room and mirrors for getting ready. We could not recommend it more as a venue.

We had great service on the day and we were well looked after by the whole team at the Kings chapel. Sallieann was our main wedding planner and we cannot thank Sallieann enough for all the help and support, any question was answered and any idea was supported. Right from our first meeting we felt comfortable, I always wanted sangria at my wedding and this was no trouble. We also want to thank Lara who supported us too. I look back at our wedding day with such special memories and the Kings Chapel will hold such a special place for us along with the team helping to make it such a wonderful day. Amazing venue, with an experienced events team
We had our wedding reception at Kings Chapel on 2nd August 2025 and it was a phenomenal venue. It was great to be able to tell guests about the amazing features of the building itself, like the unsupported domed ceiling (the second largest in England) and the appearances of the Kings Arms hotel in films. We had the most magical wedding reception here, and the planning was smooth thanks to the brilliant events team. Our co-ordinator Sallieann responded promptly to all our queries (even on her days off), and was a really fun and reassuring person to work with. Planning fairly quickly was made smooth with the KC team, led by Sallieann, who would answer our queries seemingly at all times of day and night. We had full oversight of the function sheet that staff would be working to on our wedding day, and Sallieann was able to offer good advice about realistic catering requirements and where small savings might be made. There are so many ways to personalise this venue to your own taste but it has to be said it’s stunning just as it is, purely full of love and your favourite people. Our guests have raved about how delicious the food was, and how relaxed and fun the day was, which is largely down to the hardworking team behind the scenes. Thanks Kings Chapel, we'll be back to see you for our anniversary and already can't wait!
We got married at Kings Chapel in July, and it was quite simply the perfect venue. From the moment we arrived, the team catered to our every need, making the day flow seamlessly.
The venue itself is a stunning mix of historic charm and modern comfort. It was the perfect size for our guest list—intimate enough to feel personal, but spacious enough that it never felt crowded. We made great use of the outdoor space, and the setting in Old Amersham provided the most beautiful backdrop for our photos.
We also stayed on-site at the Kings Arms (the hotel attached to the venue), which made the end of the night so easy. The honeymoon suite was incredible—huge, immaculate, and very romantic. It was the perfect way to end the celebration.
If you are looking for a venue that offers beautiful surroundings, incredible food, and a team that genuinely cares, Kings Chapel is the place. We couldn't be happier with our choice!
We had such a brilliant experience with the team at Kings Chapel. The event space was perfect for our wedding, particularly having the flexibility to invite anywhere from 30 to 120 day guests, it meant that we could plan exactly the day we wanted without worrying about head count. The team were very clear in communications throughout and went above and beyond with their friendliness and accommodations for different needs (no matter who we spoke to). We enjoyed going to wedding fairs and a menu tasting evening at the chapel as part of the lead up to the day. Organisation during the day's events was spot on; there must have been a lot of hard work going on in the background, but we felt very comfortable leaving the team to it and we didn't need to lift a finger. The food was all delicious - a highlight for many of our guests - and dietaries were very clearly provided for. Thank you so much for being so brilliant - we can't wait to be back in the area to celebrate our anniversary with you!

We honestly couldn’t have asked for a more perfect wedding venue. From the moment we arrived, we knew it was something special. The setting is absolutely stunning, with beautiful grounds that gave us the perfect backdrop for both our photos and the day itself.
One of the best things about this venue is how well it works for couples who want everything in one place. We were able to have our ceremony, wedding breakfast, and evening reception all onsite, which made the day flow seamlessly and kept everything relaxed for us and our guests. The venue has a lovely garden space too, which meant we had the option of an outdoor ceremony (even though we opted for indoors) and plenty of space for guests to mingle and enjoy the sunshine. It's such a versatile space, a true blank canvas, set in the beautiful Chiltern Hills, that can be styled to suit any couple’s vision, whether you want something rustic, elegant, or more contemporary.
The food and drink were another highlight! Everything was absolutely delicious, and the wine pairings were spot on. The pizza chef in the evening was a huge hit with everyone, not just for his tasty pizzas but also for the fun, personal drawings he added to the boxes. It’s those quirky little touches that made the day feel so memorable.
The staff were phenomenal from start to finish. Every single person we encountered was friendly, attentive, and genuinely seemed to care about making our day the best it could be. The bedrooms are all unique and full of character, and having our loved ones stay on site made the whole weekend feel extra special.
It was also brilliant value for money considering everything that’s included, we just wish we could do it all over again! We can’t recommend this venue highly enough to any couple looking for a beautiful, flexible space where the entire day can come together effortlessly.

One of the reasons we chose this venue was because when we went to look round the venue and in the brochure there were photos of same sex marriages. We knew we would be made to feel very welcome, which we were and we would highly recommend this venue to same sex couples. All our guests loved the venue and with a large number of rooms on site it meant all guests could stay which was important to us. My husband and I were still looking for our perfect dream venue with 9 months to go before our wedding, until he came across the King’s Chapel. Every moment from our initial consultation with our team, to the big day was nothing short of exceptional. The King’s Chapel have a strong and long standing relationship with their suppliers, and this could be seen when you speak to the suppliers at the King’s Chapel Wedding Showcase days. From this event, my husband and I were able to source everything we needed very early on, which meant that the wedding planning was far less stressful than we had anticipated!
As for the service provided by the King’s Chapel team, we honestly cannot sing their praises enough. Especially Lara, who had been our wedding planner and is an individual who is very attentive, thoughtful and radiates positive energy. Lara knew how nervous and stressed my husband and I had been, but she made us feel very looked after and it showed throughout our wedding planning journey. Lara and the King's Chapel team pulled everything off to a tee! The food during the wedding and breakfast the next day were delicious, and the rooms at the King’s Arms are super cosy and romantic. The staff were all so lovely and went above and beyond for us and our guests. From start to finish, we’ve had an absolutely amazing time with the King’s Chapel, and we cannot thank them enough for ensuring that we had the most beautiful and perfect ceremony.
