About

The earliest fabric of the Hare And Hounds originates from the first years of the 18th century, when it was constructed as a farmhouse. Further parts were subsequently added and others enhanced in the early 20th century, all of which match the original and traditional style of the farmhouse building.

You will find the hotel right on the edge of the beautiful village that gives its name to the famous Westonbirt Arboretum.

Today, the hotel is operated by the Cotswold Inns and Hotels group, who purchased the building in 2008. A renovation transformed the interior into the homely, traditional-yet-modern state that it enjoys today.

The Cotswolds Inns and Hotel group own other venues across the Outstanding Area of Natural Beauty, including The Swan Hotel, The Bear of Rodborough, The Manor House Hotel and The Bay Tree Hotel.

Named after the hotel's village of residence, this large and versatile space features an enjoyable level of lighting and a cosy décor. The room can seat up to 120 guests for a wedding ceremony and reception.

Outdoor Ceremonies

You are welcome to tie the knot in The Hare And Hounds' garden, which features its very own thatched 'Breeze House', a pagoda-style pavilion. Relish the sun (hopefully) on the lovely lawn and invite up to 120 guests for your ceremony.

Accommodation at The Hare And Hounds is spread across 43 recently-refurbished bedrooms between the principal hotel building and the Silkwood Court annexe, and even a standalone Gamekeeper's Cottage. Summer Wedding Open Day

Sunday 19th July, 1 - 4 pm

Visit Julia and the wedding team and look around the hotel and grounds, all laid out for a beautiful Cotswolds wedding. The team will be on hand to discuss your wedding plans and answer any questions. There will also be a selection of wedding suppliers to meet with, as well as some delicious canapes and fizz.
