Facilities
At the heart of the site is “The Bales,” a straw-bale eco lodge that acts as the sheltered hub for your day, a warm, cosy space with a wood burner, large windows and flexible seating for cooking, dining, gatherings or an impromptu dance floor.
The Green Escape is intentionally off-grid: there is no mains electricity across the site, so ambience is created with candles, fairy lights and solar lanterns, and the focus is on an unplugged, sustainable experience.
The woodland itself provides rustic ceremony settings (pine-tree lined aisles, natural altars) and al fresco feasting areas with long rustic tables and benches. Outdoor cooking options include a wood-fired pizza oven, BBQ, tripod grill and a well-equipped outdoor kitchen with gas hobs and mains drinking water.
Social spaces include fire-pit seating, hammocks among the trees and a 40-metre zip-wire for extra fun. Practical facilities for guests include hot showers (in a converted shepherd hut) and compost toilets.
Catering
Catering at The Green Escape leans into the woodland mood: communal, rustic feasts work particularly well, from wood-fired pizzas to BBQ spreads and long, shared platters beneath the canopy. The site’s outdoor kitchen and pizza oven make on-site catering straightforward, and the team can work with local suppliers to help plan menus that suit a casual forest supper or a more structured wedding breakfast. BYO alcohol is commonly practised to keep things relaxed and personal.
Accommodation
The Green Escape provides seven individually styled shepherds’ huts for on-site glamping. The huts sleep up to 22 guests.
