This traditional smallholding once operated as a dairy farm, exclusively producing the famous Yarg Cheese. When taken over by the current owners, the buildings were converted into contemporary 5-star gold-rated accommodation and four reception barns. Still standing after The Great Depression, WWII and Mad Cow Disease, this rural and historic farmstead is a beautiful setting for a classic wedding.
Get married outdoors under the Oak Arbour, located on the hillside and framed by two majestic English oaks with views across the lush green valley below. A romantic alternative, The Green's Lake Arbour is set by the river beside the lake among the trees.
There are also some gorgeous indoor options for you. The Wedding Barn exudes tons of character with original beams and oak floors. If you are looking for something a bit more DIY, then the Really Rustic Barn has lots of scope for styling to your own taste.
It may be hard to believe, but the Red Brick Barn was once a humble cowshed! The red brick walls and original roof beams have been retained but the rest is pure glamour and sparkle. The front of the barn has floor to ceiling doors that open fully to eastward views over Kitt Hill and Dartmoor in the far distance. The exterior of the structure is now clad in oak and there is also oak flooring.

The Green Cornwall has a large farmhouse and several five-star gold-rated cottages that ooze comfort, style and provide a dreamy night's sleep. The properties are equipped with their own grounds for a spontaneous walk, various indoor and outdoor activities, free WiFi and a wood-fired hot tub. Your wedding cuisine can be pretty much whatever you want, ranging from۬ a traditional three-course banquet to a rustic sharing feast or barbecue. If you have something specific in mind, the catering team at The Green would love to accommodate this too.
The Green has accommodation for 32 guests onsite, comprising the house, sleeping twelve people, and five cottages ranging in size, with the smallest sleeping two people and the largest sleeping up to six. All the cottages feature a black lining on their blinds and curtains to induce that added sense of relaxation before you drift off to sleep. The fine duck feather duvets and plump pillows accompany your choice of bed, including the extraordinary master suite where you can lie back and sink into a peaceful dream.

Even my dad said we couldn't have chosen a better venue (and he's someone who always says something is 'fine'!) it wasn't the weather we wanted - but we did choose to marry in November. But Kate and Charlotte made sure we had nothing to worry about. The hog roast even still went ahead outside in the rain!

We went to The Green for our son's wedding in December 2017. Wow. It was beautiful. I don't think you could find a better venue to get married if you tried. We stayed for 2 days. The accommodation was 1st class. They have everything you need. They even had tea coffee sugar and milk waiting for you. The beds were very comfortable and everywhere was warm. The grounds are beautiful. We all gathered in the big house on the eve of the wedding and started the celebrations early.
The wedding itself was perfect in every way. The staff were fantastic. The food was gorgeous. In fact I cannot find anything wrong with the place. I wish we could do it all again as it was so perfect. The photographs were beautiful. I would recommend this venue to anyone thinking of getting married. Thank you to The Green.
We had our wedding here on the 27th January 2018, and could not have asked for a better day. From day 1 of visiting to look around, the team have been brilliant in communication and helping us with our planning. 13 months later, our day was spectacularly supported and ran by our coordinator Kate who was fabulous! She truly went above and beyond her role to make sure everything went okay, which it did!
The accommodation is amazingly decorated and super clean and tidy. Thank you to Louise who coordinated the catering side of our wedding, she was also a fabulous and lovely lady The food for our reception was exceptional! We were already looking forward to it since our taster day- everything was so delicious, it was very difficult to make our food choices! And the cooked breakfast the morning after is exactly what everyone needed!
All of our guests were overwhelmed with how great the food was, and just how beautiful the whole venue was. It was a perfect choice for me and my new husband, so peaceful, private, and pure Cornish countryside. We will always cherish our memories at The Green
We could not have hoped for a more perfect and relaxed venue for our day. Kate, Michelle and the rest of the team at the Green were amazing in the lead up to the wedding and on the day itself we did not have to worry about a single thing. All of our guests loved the Green especially those who got to stay in the onsite accommodation, they did not want to leave the "wedding bubble" come Monday after the wedding. Even though it rained the whole day we didn't stop smiling from start to finish.

We got married in December and cannot recommend The Green highly enough. The accommodation is perfect. The staff are amazing, all our guests commented on it. The catering was excellent and covered some difficult dietary requirements and last minute changes without any dramas. What a magical time from start to finish. We were greeted on arrival by Michelle and Kate and made to feel special from that moment on. We stayed in cottage one which was perfect and better than we imagined it would be. On the morning of the wedding Kate made sure every detail was covered and me feel relaxed.
The registrars were absolutely amazing and we couldn't of wished for anyone better to marry us. We said our vows in the barn, which was beyond perfect. That evening Tom the chef came to our cottage and cooked us an absolutely stunning three course meal, to be honest we were a tad nervous about this but Tom was great, very chatty and happy. This was a perfect end to our perfect day.
