About

Also known as Sweetpeas Floral Design, Sweetpeas of Great Tew is the brainchild of Gerri Rees. After a floristry course, and working under the guidance of an experienced florist, she absorbed all she needed to know before establishing Sweetpeas in 2007.

The floristry is located within Sweetpeas of Great Tew - a shop, café and integral part of the village community serving freshly-ground coffee, tea, sandwiches, cakes, local beers etc. It even transforms into a pizzeria (Osteria Great Tew) on certain evenings!

Approach

Perfectly orchestrated kaleidoscopes of sprays, carefully selected species, colours, scents and so much more demonstrate the florist's art with an innate ability to dazzle.

Gerri's manifest ability to create unusual designs with a confident penchant for using greens, leaves and plants in bouquets and arrangements shine through. How about rosemary and rose boutonnières? A perfectly befitting match both in name and smell!

While retaining an affinity for 'the different', she is still more than capable of producing brilliant bouquets for a wider range of brides, even those with more traditional tastes.

The Flowers

Gerri's bouquets and arrangements look lovely at first glance. Get up close and you'll be able to see her thoughtful design creativity diffusing elegantly from flower to flower.

As a progressive and innovative florist, you'll see in her work the utilisation of a broad range of flower types: everything from sweet peas (of course!), roses (not overdone!), thistles, stunning white calla lilies, bold gerberas, oriental lilies and so much more!

Gerri takes on the whole gamut of arrangement types, from bouquets to boutonnières (pocket flowers), table arrangements in vases and much more. Flowers are sourced both locally and internationally, and you can be certain of their freshness and quality.

Delivery and setup at your venue on the day are included in Gerri's bespoke quote.

Alternative Bouquets

Gerri can whip up some thoughtful bouquets that look just that little bit different. Don't really like the thought of blousy, frilly, rose-dominated clusters? Instead, how about a bouquet of long and slender white calla lilies, finished off with a pretty little fabric tie?
