Secret Valley offers couples complete control over every aspect of their special day. Nestled in the rolling Mendip Hills of Somerset, the venue features two distinctive settings: the rustic Quantock Barn and a stunning lakeside ceremony area centred around a majestic oak tree and an island.

Exclusive hire is available from the day before to the day after the wedding, and all accommodation on site—ranging from shepherd’s huts to glamping lodges—must be booked out to create a truly immersive, worry-free experience for guests.

Weddings take place between April and June, and September to October, with varying hire rates depending on the day: midweek hire costs £2,200 and Friday–Sunday hire £3,195 during these seasons.

Facilities

The Quantock Barn is a spacious blank-canvas reception venue of approximately 273 m², capable of seating up to 250 guests, complete with a large caterers’ kitchen. The Lakeside venue overlooks a serene lake and features a picturesque island for ceremony setups—while couples can opt to erect a marquee or tipi on the adjacent paddock.

Catering

Secret Valley allows external caterers and provides preferred suppliers to choose from, giving couples freedom to tailor their menu. Food options are highly flexible, ranging from formal sit-down meals to buffets, BBQs, or grazing setups. A curated wine list is available, and Quantock Barn bookings include £200 worth of complimentary venue wine.

Accommodation

The venue offers a variety of on-site glamping and shepherd’s hut accommodation options tailored for wedding parties. For weddings scheduled on Saturdays, a two-night minimum stay is required for all on-site units. The Shepherd’s Hut is recommended for the bride and groom, but all accommodations must be booked for the duration of the wedding weekend.
