Consisting of family members and close friends, The Rainbow Steel Band originally formed in Barbados, before making the postwar move to England over 50 years ago and importing a carnival atmosphere to weddings and other events around the UK.

Internationally respected by a worldwide fan-base, this award-winning professional band have toured all around Europe and the Caribbean, and even played for royalty!

Repertoire

Rainbow Steel Band play a wide range of calypso and reggae favourites, as well as a selection of modern hits, popular classical pieces and film and TV soundtracks.

The talented musicians can also perform effective arrangements of well-known pieces that everyone will recognise. Their feel-good range of tracks will bring everyone together, even the more reluctant of dancers.

Performance and Audio

Playing their infectious rhythms and catchy, chiming melodies, The Rainbow Steel Band will have your wedding guests up on their feet and on the dance floor in no time at all. The band are very flexible with their line-up size and can range from three members to eight members to suit all wedding requirements.

With no electrical amplification needed, this experienced band can play all types of weddings from outdoor marquee celebrations to indoor hotel weddings. Offering performance lengths of either three, 40-minute sets or two 60-minute sets within a three-hour time period.

The group are extremely adaptable in terms of where they can perform, and would be absolutely perfect for an outdoor summer wedding celebration. If you're planning a winter wedding but want to add a touch of sunshine, Rainbow Steel Band are an ideal choice of evening entertainment.
