Princes Hall

Princes Hall in Aldershot, Hampshire offers newlyweds a glittery and glamorous way to celebrate after exchanging their "I Dos". The theatre has become one of Britain's most renowned since opening in 1973, and today achieves excellent box office sales.

With several different venue options ideal for social gatherings of between 35 and 210 guests, theatrical chic is extenuated at Princes Hall. You could choose either to host your reception in one of the luxurious suites, or make use of the Main Hall itself, with its comprehensively-equipped stage and feature lighting rigs, for a completely star-studded celebration. The theatre can offer its excellent in-house catering team who regularly present a fantastic array of simply delicious wedding breakfast cuisine.

History

Named after HRH Prince Philip the Duke of Edinburgh, Princes Hall was re-opened on 22nd May 1973. Originally designed as a civic venue for formal and mayoral events, the hall had been comprehensively refurbished, similar to the way it looks today.

The Princes Hall Pantomime has been a hit since its mid-1970s launch, and in 2005/6 broke records for ticket sales. Since the millennium, the modernised venue has attracted many famous names, run today as a prestigious theatrical and events facility.

Main Hall

If you dream of a theatrical wedding celebration, look no further than The Main Hall. Large and versatile with a generous stage area, this space is ideal for couples hankering after a little glitz and glam during their big day! Tables can be set out in different ways depending on guest numbers, up to a maximum of 300.

Wedding Breakfast Capacity - 300 Guests

Princes Suite

The largest hospitality room, the Princes Suite benefits from an abundance of natural light and a bar and dancefloor. For larger events, it can be used in conjunction with the Tichbourne Suite.

Wedding Breakfast Capacity - 72 Guests

Tichbourne Suite

The Tichbourne Suite is attached to the Princes Suite, and they can readily be used in conjunction. The suite itself is a pleasant venue for small receptions and has its own bar and dancefloor.

Wedding Breakfast Capacity - 36 Guests

The Foyer Bar

This can be used with the Tichbourne Suite or as an alternative facility for guests using any of the other suites or the Main Hall.

Catering

Cuisine at Princes Hall is provided by Clarks Catering Ltd. They have been working together for over 25 years, so the caterers are well tried and trusted by staff and regular customers alike at Princes Hall. They can offer a vast array of different culinary options to suit different tastes, with bespoke menus available.

Accommodation

There is no onsite accommodation at Princes Hall itself, but the Queens Hotel, Travelodge and Premier Inn are found nearby, plus many more hotels, B&Bs and guesthouses in Aldershot.

Ceremonies

Princes Hall is currently a reception-only wedding venue, but staff recommend ceremonies in either Aldershot Registry Office or Guildford Registry Office, both of which are relatively nearby.
