Pencarrow House and Gardens has been home to the Moleswoth-St-Aubyns since the 1500s, for almost 500 years. Pencarrow opened to the public in the 1970's welcoming families, history buffs and nature lovers alike. The family are very involved in the day to day running of the estate and look forward to welcoming you, with their team, to their beloved home.
Facilities
Upon Booking your wedding at Pencarrow you will receive exclusive use of the walled gardens and formal gardens.
The 'I do's'
There are a variety of locations to say your vows throughout the estate. Within the house itself there are three licensed rooms; the Music Room, the Library and the Drawing Room. If you are looking for a smaller and more intimate wedding for up to 40 guests then you should consider the Tea Rooms with its beautiful vaulted ceiling.
If you'd like to say your vows outside surrounded by nature, then there are some beautiful locations in the grounds. Please note that chair hire for the ceremony is included.
Drinks reception
You've said your vows and now it's time to celebrate. If the sun is shining down on you then the lawn provides the perfect spot to clink glasses, nibble canapes and bask in the glow of love. The gardens are Grade II Listed so provide plenty of historic and romantic spaces for photographs.
Eat and be merry
Set within the walled gardens, a simple stroll from the lawn you'll enter the canvas marquee, ready to ramp up those celebrations and dig into some delicious food.
The marquee is handmade in India, made from sailcloth with bamboo poles and with an intricately designed hand block printed lining. The space is bright, light and airy and is the perfect blank canvas for any wedding vision, from black tie formal through to the outrageously outlandish and everything in between.

- Dimensions are - length 24m x width 14.25m with 3 x 6m upright centre poles, the side walls are 2.2m high
- Tables and chairs are priced based on your number of guests are not included within the venue hire.
As the sun dips below the Cornish horizon, the walled gardens come alive with twinkling festoon lighting, the crackle of a bonfire, magically lit chill out areas and enticing woodland hideouts, perfectly marrying the combination between tradition and a laid-back festival vibe. Live bands and DJs are permitted to play until 11pm, with a turned down playlist till midnight.
