Oxnead Hall

Oxnead Hall is an outstanding wedding venue in the heart of Norfolk's picturesque countryside. Now a family home, Oxnead Hall is dates back to the 16th Century and is a Grade II-listed building making it both an inspiring place to visit and the perfect venue for a romantic wedding.

The incredible grounds encompass a medieval church in which you can say your vows and the impressive estate offers a selection of spaces for your wedding feast and reception. The entire hall can be exclusively yours on the day and there is even luxury accommodation to sink into after the perfect wedding celebrations.

History

Built in 1580, Oxnead Hall was home initially to the Paston family until the 18th Century. Surrounded by gardens that are just as impressive as the house itself, this estate is the epitome of timeless beauty making it the perfect place for a dreamy wedding.

Still a family run home, the abundant gardens lend themselves to outdoor weddings, and stunning wedding photos. Not far from the coast, this glorious Norfolk venue will truly take your breath away as it offers the perfect amount of style, history, space and freedom for your special day.

Facilities

Oxnead Hall offers you exclusive use of the entire venue so that you can have the freedom to do as you please for your big day. There are a selection of spaces to choose from in which to host your wedding breakfast and reception:

The Church

First and foremost, say your vows in the unparalleled 13th Century church located in the grounds of the estate.

Ceremony capacity - 90 guests

The Orangery

Once home to the aromatic smells of fresh oranges, this room is the perfect space for an intimate ceremony or arrival drinks. The large windows allow natural light to flood in, illuminating every special moment.

Ceremony capacity - 50 guests
Reception capacity - 100 guests

The Great Barn

This impressive barn is the perfect space in which to host your wedding breakfast and reception as there is plenty of room for entertaining. With timber beams and wooden floors, the Great Barn will create a wonderful atmosphere for your wedding ceremony.

Wedding breakfast capacity - 220 guests

The Long Room

Situated next to the Great Barn, this room is a beautiful space for a wedding ceremony.

Ceremony capacity - 140 guests

The Gardens

An outdoor wedding is also possible for those who would like to bask in the sunshine and enjoy the glorious acres of land that Oxnead Estate boasts.

Catering

Providing you with mouth-watering catering and a wonderful array of delicious food to choose from is Unique Norfolk Venues, headed up by executive chef Keith McDowell.

The catering team will design the perfect wedding feast for you and your guests and can even include an afternoon tea for that quintessential English touch.

Accommodation

An exquisite bridal suite, complete with a four-poster and magnificent views is available for the happy couple while luxury accommodation is also provided for guests.
