History Number 3 Elliot Terrace was built in the late 19th Century by a leading Victorian property developer. The property was then purchased by the Mayor of Plymouth, Waldorf Astor, between 1939 and 1944. His wife, Nancy, made history by becoming the first female MP to sit in the Commons. Number 3 Elliot Terrace was gifted by Nancy as a residence for the future Lord Mayors. The house is brimming with antiques, artefacts and old photographs, perfect for any history lovers who are looking to say their vows surrounded by powerful reminders of the past.
