About

The original owner bought this picturesque property with ideas of living long and well in his quaint new home. Much to his surprise, within two years he was indeed settled - but not in exactly the same spot. He was now living next door with his new wife Sam!

Rather than let go of such a beautiful house, the two decided to keep it on as a rental property for visitors or explorers from across the globe to enjoy, as they do to this day.

Area

Established atop the Cam Valley south of Bath, Peasedown St John is a large hilltop settlement overlooking the moors that encompass the Frome Valley. The village itself has all the conveniences necessary for everyday supplies, and buses to take you to Bath, Bristol or Wells pass along the main street as regularly as every fifteen minutes.

If you have your own transport, you are within an easy thirty-mile radius from natural attractions like Cheddar Gorge, Stonehenge and Longleat Safari Park. For a day out in the nation's capital, London Paddington is a mere hundred minutes from Bath Spa.

Facilities

Upstairs from a well-equipped lounge and kitchen/diner, the cottage offers two double bedrooms (one double bed, two singles) plus a child's bed for families wishing to stay. The cottage driveway fits two cars and is complemented by a small patio garden area, and further household benefits include Wi-Fi, TV, central heating and double glazing.

All rooms in the cottage come well-stocked, and a full list of the items provided can be viewed through their website. No. 68 has a standard policy of not allowing either pets or smoking, and due to the age of the cottage there is no wheelchair access. However the owners urge you to get in touch to sort out any convenience issues you may have.
