Working in Berkshire and London, Neale James has twice been recognised for Junebug's exclusive list of the Best Wedding Photographs in the World and in 2014 he was voted the Wedding Photographer of the Year for London.

Originally a radio broadcaster, Neale discovered his passion for photography over a decade ago and has since captured over 800 weddings. He takes pride in being as unobtrusive in his approach as he can be while capturing the most genuine moments of your wedding.

Neale also creates unique wedding photofilms, a highly emotive combination of audio with pictures. These could be sound audios from the speeches and the readings, where you can relive not only the pictures of your day but also the words.

The Photos

One of the most important things for Neale is that he captures the most candid moments of your wedding but without staging the photos or telling people when to pose or where to stand. He believes that the formalities of group shots should only be a small part of your celebrations.

Priding himself on discretion, he will observe your wedding and attempt to see the experience as the bride and groom would, thus re-creating your special day in images that you can cherish forever.

Neale has a sixth sense in understanding when is the perfect time to take a photo. He will create a package that suits you and will provide an online gallery of your images so that friends and family can also order them from his website.

The photos are simply beautiful and honest. They are also cleverly edited, showcasing his talents and emphasising the emotion. Neale himself calls them 'informal formals', as an example of photojournalism and documentary style photography.

Each wedding Neale approaches with a bespoke and personalised attitude, but as a guide he charges around £1,650 for a full day of photography.

Extras

Due to his level of expertise, Neale has started becoming a teacher of wedding photography. He runs half day and full day courses for those who want to learn his craft and how to produce his wedding photofilms using Adobe Premiere.
