Facilities & Capacities
Moonacre offers a variety of licensed spaces for ceremonies and receptions, each with its own distinctive atmosphere. Couples may exchange vows beneath the trees in the Wildwood, on the elevated Eagles Nest, within the spacious marquee, or in other natural corners of the estate. The Eagles Nest provides a more intimate setting; the woodland platform and marquee welcome larger gatherings. The marquee is fitted with long dining tables and chairs, heating, a stage, a sound and lighting rig, and a fully stocked bar to support everything from relaxed daytime meals to lively evening celebrations.
Supporting amenities across the site include plumbed toilets, hot electric showers, and generous on-site parking, ensuring that comfort and practicality accompany the rustic woodland atmosphere. The venue’s flexible layout and infrastructure make it suitable for both intimate elopements and larger festival-style weddings.
Catering
Catering at Moonacre is intentionally flexible. Rather than a single in-house kitchen, the venue provides the infrastructure needed for outside caterers, mobile kitchens, and food trucks. Couples can choose formal sit-down menus, informal street-food options, or a mix of styles to suit their vision. The marquee bar is also available to be stocked according to personal preference, and power and service access are provided to support visiting caterers.
Accommodation
One of Moonacre’s most distinctive features is its eclectic on-site accommodation. Guests can stay in characterful lodgings such as the Treehouse, Bertie the Bus (a converted double-decker), Monty the Motorhome, retro caravans, and other quirky units. In addition to these unique options, a large camping field allows space for tents, bell tents, and caravans, creating a festival-style atmosphere that keeps the celebration going long after the main events.
