This Grade II-listed Victorian edifice was built in the 1860s in the fashionable Italianate Renaissance style. Originally occupied by shops at ground floor level, the splendid 5-storey building is saturated with fascinating history. Having survived the relentless Blitz air-raids during WW2, it now stands as a symbol of luxury in the centre of Bristol.

They have recently had a £5million refurbishment to create a contemporary feel. They will now offer a number of different event spaces which have been designed to create the perfect space for your wedding.

Facilities

The Ballroom

This stunning room features an intricately-designed white arched and coved ceiling embellished with crystal chandeliers, and it has its very own bar area too! Whilst not being as large as the Wessex Suite, it can still seat up to 250 guests for a reception.

The Wessex Suite

As the Grand Hotel's largest function space, The Wessex Suite can accommodate up to 400 guests for a formal reception meal, or 500 seated for a wedding ceremony.

Further hospitality rooms include the Marlborough, Devon and Duchess Suites, each of which is ideally suited to smaller, more intimate occasions with 50 guests or fewer.

Venue Hire

Mercure Bristol Grand Hotel, your perfect wedding venue... with no venue hire! The hotel doesn't believe that you should have any wasted money on your wedding day, so, as long as you meet a minimum spend on food and drink, they will not charge you any venue hire. This means you only pay for what you order.

Catering

Catering at The Grand Hotel is the responsibility of the hotel's in-house catering team. Servicing the Keepers Restaurant all day, every day, experienced chefs and waiting staff know how to cater for large occasions at high pace and quality.

As might be expected of such a highly-reputed establishment, The Grand Hotel's 186 spacious bedrooms are more than capable of accommodating most if not all of your guests in sumptuous luxury. Each room is newly refurbished and comes with a multitude of facilities such as Wi-Fi, TV, four-poster or king-size bed and much more.
