From his home in Stroud, Steve travels to weddings throughout Gloucestershire and the surrounding counties. His documentary style allows him to capture intimate and relaxed photographs of you and your guests celebrating on the big day.
Rather than working through the same set of poses, Steve captures naturally occurring moments of beauty, resulting in a unique set of images for every couple. He limits himself to 25-30 weddings per year in order to allow him to spend as much time as he can working on your photographs.
At the age of eleven, Steve's father presented him with his old camera and, from that day onwards, Steve couldn't stop taking photographs. He studied art and photography in Liverpool and worked as a junior photographer for Motor Sport magazine and the newspaper Motoring News. In 1999, Steve decided to begin photographing weddings and since then, has captured photographs at hundreds of celebrations across the UK.
Steve specialises in documentary wedding photography, using an unobtrusive approach to capture the events of your big day as they actually happened. Over the years, this talented photographer has found that the more relaxed you are, the better your photographs will be. So, Steve leaves you alone to celebrate while he subtly snaps beautiful, naturally occurring moments between you and your guests.
If you'd like a few shots of the bridal party and key family members, then Steve will quickly and professionally capture these, without keeping your guests waiting for too long. Additionally, he avoids heavy editing, keeping his photographs as natural as possible in order to create a timeless finish.
Engagement shoots are a brilliant chance for you to get to know Steve and experience what it's like to be photographed by him. A photoshoot of you and your fiancé in a location of your choice is also a lovely way to celebrate your engagement! You might choose to use one of the photographs from this shoot for your save the date cards or invitations.

Steve designs stunning, handcrafted wedding albums that can be ordered in a variety of sizes. He will listen to your ideas and preferences when creating the album and will ask you to approve the final design before it goes to print. Different covers and styles are available, so you will end up with an album that's personal to you. Steve is a master! My wife and I almost didn't hire a photographer as we both had a negative view of the style of soft images and fake setup shots usual with weddings. We couldn't have been more wrong. Steve with his fantastic sense of humor put everyone at ease with the camera – and the images? Steve managed to capture still moments of jovial perfection. As a husband and bride it was images of our favourite people and family members all together that we cared most about and these couldn't have been more beautifully captured…and in the middle of a cheese carving competition (don't ask). Steve is a fantastic wedding photographer, and we were thrilled with our photographs. We have such a lovely arrangement of formal and reportage shots of our day. We specifically asked him to cover our wedding because we wanted an upbeat photographer, with lots of character who could handle the guests and get them where we needed them to be, as this is often the most difficult part! We honestly couldn't be happier with our wedding photos, in fact I think I shed a few tears! – they are all fantastic; Steve is obviously a very, very talented photographer and knows exactly what he's doing!
