She is also offering Wedding Secret users an extra hour on her photo-booth service, the 'Guestbox'- normally worth £85!

Additionally, she offers a photo-booth service, known as 'The Guestbox', which entails a number of hilarious props and colourful backgrounds - a perfect alternative for those bored of dancing during the evening reception party.

About

Kerry Bartlett runs her successful photographic business from her home in Walton, near Street. Many say that photography runs in her veins, as her grandfather was a BBC cameraman, and even founded the country's first Carrickfergus Camera Club back in the 1940s.

Her first camera was a green 'Supasnaps' Snappit, which she got her hands on back in 1989 - this inspired her to delve into the nitty-gritty of the science, methodology and art of photography.

Since then, Kerry studied Graphic Design at Plymouth College of Art - a sympathetic, compatible art form that defined the basis of her photographic technique and way of approaching her work.

Like so many of the most sought-after and talented photographers that we've come across, Kerry embarked on her photographic journey in the realms of producing 'film' photography, rather than the digital variety. Shooting with film means that she already has developed reams of patience from long hours working in the dark-room, and has 'trialled and errored' countless shoots from composition through to the final product.

Essentially, she knows exactly what lighting situations, camera settings and framing arrangements work best to create the perfect shot - and all of this truly shows through in her sublime photography.

The Photos and More

You won't have to look far through Kerry's portfolio to see the level of professionalism and forethought that goes into each and every image. Crisp, clear, sunny, charming, smile-inducing, warming - these are just a few words that spring to mind.

Kerry's reportage style means that she aims to capture the wedding day exactly as it unfolds. Bright and colourful stills of the bride and her bridesmaids, an emotional embrace before the First Dance, and easily-lost little fleeting moments are just a few examples of what Kerry aims to capture. Add to this a penchant for taking a selection of natural and relaxed posed shots at certain key points throughout the day, and you have a perfectly balanced photographic approach.

The Guestbox

This is a rather fun photo-booth service that Kerry offers as an optional extra. Floral backgrounds, a selection of exciting props such as moustaches, chalkboards, hats, glasses, and the like will be available for you and your guests to play around with at your pleasure. Kerry operates the booth during the evening reception phase of your wedding, after all the main photographs of the day have already been taken.

Pricing and Albums

Kerry doesn't use pre-determined packages as such to charge her couples. In fact, she uses a far more refreshing, and ultimately more controllable method.

Kerry breaks down her services into a sort of pick-'n'-mix tariff method, as follows:-

  • £95 per hour for Kerry to attend your big day
  • £390 for a CD full of high-resolution, individually-edited images
  • £460 for a bespoke, leather-bound album
  • £400 for the 'Guestbox' photo-booth service
Discounts

Kerry offers a number of great ways to save money if you book more of her services. You can receive 10% off Kerry's hourly rate if you ask her to attend for more than five hours on your wedding day. If you opt for the CD digital album, and decide to have the photo-album or the 'Guestbox' too, you will receive £150 off the overall costs. Book all three extra options and make a saving of £300!

Exclusive to Wedding Secret users - Free extra hour if you book the 'Guestbox' - Normally worth £85

Albums

Kerry offers couples two main types of leather-bound album - contemporary designed eco leather digital albums, and a range of traditional albums.

Well... what can I say about Kerry? If you want standard, traditional wedding photos; then she really isn't for you*. However, if you would like original, heart-warming, funny photos that really take you back to your big day; the she's your gal!

Kerry makes every effort to understand what you would like from your day, and somehow seamlessly pulls it off (without ever getting too pushy or intrusive), so that upon your return from a fantastic honeymoon she’s got the perfect post-holiday blues remedy; hundreds of beautiful photos waiting for you to enjoy and share (that really is the best thing; you can share them all with your friends and family without having to pay any extra fees… brilliant!).

And as for the Guestbox; what a hoot! We loved it and so did everybody else. They really add to the occasion and we now have photos dotted throughout the house of all our friends looking absolutely ridiculous (and having a great time)!

We really could not be any happier with Kerry and the service she provided and highly recommend her for your very special day.

    * I am sure she could do traditional wedding photography very well it just wasn’t for us!

Kerry was recommended to us by a family member and we weren't disappointed. From the pre-wedding photos (which was a brilliant way to get us used to being in front of the camera and get to know Kerry) to the wedding day itself Kerry was fantastic.

The variety of photos we have is just what we wanted, and more. As well as some really lovely traditional shots (to keep the family happy) we were keen to get more natural pictures and these are stunning with some real arty photos that we wouldn't have even thought of.

Our wedding day arrived and there was so much going on it was a relief not to have any worries at all about the photographer. Organised and professional, Kerry captured everything we asked for and then stayed on to provide the Guestbox photo booth, which is a must!

To sum it up, we got married in January and still haven't managed to decide on the final photographs to put in our album. Sorry Kerry! But thank you so much for all your help and for capturing the memories that we will never forget and treasure for a lifetime.

We are so glad that we chose Kerry to photograph our wedding day! It also included an engagement shoot, which was a great idea. It meant that we all knew each other prior to the big day, and Kerry learnt more about what sort of pictures we were after. She made us feel really comfortable and took notes about the photo set-ups we definitely wanted, family trees etc..

Kerry was absolutely amazing on the day, she made everyone feel at ease and I knew she was doing a good job so I didn't have to worry! Kerry helped out with some difficult button holes when we were all getting ready, and we really appreciated the extra pair of hands. She was great with the kids, and even let a keen young nephew have a go at taking a picture of the top table! We hardly noticed Kerry dotting about amongst our guests, and we have ended up with some really great candid shots! Kerry has sent all 300 pictures on disc, both in colour and black & white, which is great.

We are really happy with the photographs and the service provided by Kerry. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone!
