About

Trudy cherishes fond childhood memories of baking cakes and biscuits with her mother, but pinpoints the origin of her flair for cake decoration to be when she took part in a Christmas cake project in sixth form. She started to make cakes for her family and friends and took a Saturday job at a cake decorating shop.

When she began her full-time career it became her hobby, but after the birth of her daughter she took the decision to start her own baking business. Thus JellyCake was established in 2009.

Her enterprise has grown considerably in the last seven years, and Trudy has written recipes and articles for cake-decorating magazines, and has been featured in UK and overseas press.

The Cakes

Trudy presents a rich and diverse bounty of different flavours in her cakes including some ever-popular classics such as vanilla, lemon drizzle, chocolate or fruit cake. She makes full use of the finest quality ingredients - eggs from her own free-range flock of hens, 100% organic cocoa, British butter and fairtrade sugar.

As well as the conventional stacked wedding cake, Trudy can provide cupcakes or mini-cakes, which are perfect as extras or for couples requiring a non-traditional cake. She also offers her varied range of biscuits, macaroons and meringues as wedding favours: she invited brides and grooms to be creative, as these items can be completely customisable to their personal wishes.
