About

During its peak, Hayne was a bustling hub of activity and cider-fuelled barn dances, but when Tim & Milla discovered it, the farm was in a state of decay, with nature reclaiming control and the Threshing Barn on the verge of collapse. Thanks to the assistance of English Heritage, a conservation officer, skilled craftsmen, and builders, the site underwent a meticulous restoration process over five years, resulting in the Grade II* listed farm buildings being revitalized into a vibrant party and events venue.

Today the threshing barn combines traditional 17th Century Oak Joinery, cob and lime structure, biomass under floor flooring, a mix of state of the art & reclaimed lighting and a handcrafted fully stocked bar, complete with disco ball.

Facilities

Enjoy the flexibility to choose between an indoor ceremony at the beautiful Threshing Barn or an outdoor ceremony in the picturesque Walled Garden or on the sun terrace with stunning views of the wooded valley. You can seamlessly transition from your ceremony to the reception at Hayne.

The venue consists of three interconnected spaces: the Jacobean Threshing Barn, the Oak Glazed Gallery, and the Dining Room. Whether it's a simple decoration to highlight the natural beauty of the buildings or a lavish styling to create a statement space, the possibilities are endless. Additionally, for larger events, the lawn area in front of the Threshing Barn can be utilised to accommodate even bigger marquees or 'Giant Hat' tipis, providing even more flexibility and options for the venue.

On warm evenings, the doors of the Oak Glazed Gallery can be thrown open, allowing guests to spill out onto the south facing sun terrace, creating an outdoor room complete with roaring fire pits and space to dance beneath the night skies.

Most venues will close around midnight, just when everyone is really enjoying the party. At Hayne their hire period runs until 1.30 a.m, when the music stops and the bar closes.
