Catering And Accommodation
Locally-sourced and fine-quality seasonal ingredients are used wherever possible in producing Grittleton House's superb cuisine. You are strongly recommended to join a wedding taster evening, where you can sample a variety of starters, desserts and wines.
There is a fantastically wide array of menus with meat, fish and vegetarian options. However, the talented chefs at the venue are extremely flexible, and if you want something completely unique, the team will be delighted to create bespoke dishes just for you.
Just a short walk from the mansion itself are The Old Stables, Grittleton House's characterful accommodation. As the name might suggest, this is a converted range of outbuildings around a central courtyard, with fantastic views of the main house and gardens.
There are 25 bedrooms, predominantly doubles or twins, or family rooms that hold a minimum of four but can accommodate six. For larger parties of guests to stay overnight after the wedding, there is also nearby accommodation in the B&B at the local pub.
Grittleton House is near the local railway station at Chippenham, from which there is excellent direct transport linkage to Bristol, Bath, Swindon or London. It is also conveniently located within a 10-minute drive of either Junction 17 or 18 of the M4 motorway.
