History

This stunning mansion was built in 1912 as a private residence. The grandeur and prosperity of the Edwardian era is reflected in the Neoclassical architecture of the house, plus its 17 acres of beautifully manicured gardens. It served as headquarters for the British Transport College and a conference and training centre, but the principal focus is now on hosting marvellous weddings.

Built in 1912, the Edwardian mansion at Gorse Hill, Woking offers a selection of elegant event spaces to host all aspects of your wedding celebration. The venue is licenced for civil ceremonies, allowing you to enjoy your entire day here. The Mansion House is available for ceremonies of 90 guests and offers a regal ambience for vow exchanges. Afterwards, a sophisticated drinks reception can be held on the sprawling lawn, while the couple-of-honour enjoy the picturesque surroundings for their wedding photos. The Garden Suite Ballroom is available for seated wedding breakfasts and evening receptions of up to 150 guests.
