Flint and Lambourn Marquees is run by Olly Morris-Adams, a former Senior Officer in the British Army, and Equerry to Elizabeth the Queen Mother between 1990 and 1992. His organisational skills therefore go without saying, and after a successful career in the Armed Forces, he embarked on his new role in civilian life in Event Organisation.

After eight years spent organising a variety of events across the country, Olly found his true focus in the specialist field of Marquee hire and decoration, from 2003 until today.

Marquees and Decoration

Flint and Lambourn Marquees deploy Clearspans - these are structures which don't rely on poles within the tent, nor on distracting guy-ropes on the outside, yet still retain great integral strength. Their advantages continue in the fact that this style of tent can easily be attached to houses and other structures, in order to extend existing spaces.

Flint and Lambourn's Clearspans come in varying widths - 3m, 6m, 9m, 12m or 15m.

These versatile structures are essentially modular, and so their length can be flexible.

Decorations

Internal linings can readily be provided, usually in the popular traditional ivory colour.

Swagging (overhead draping) and other fabric finishes, available in varying colours, can be supplied too. Customised linings are an option if you have a particular colour scheme in mind that Flint and Lambourn Marquees can't supply from available stock.

Go all starry-eyed with their LED-lit Starcloth lining, which is available for certain sizes of marquee. Even more exotic Indian and Moroccan-style linings can be provided too!

Dancefloors (LED and plain), disco balls, staging for a live band or disco, snazzily-lit bars and a range of further equipment options are available for the evening reception.

Furniture and Service

Flint and Lambourn Marquees won't just leave you with an empty structure. You can be provided with almost everything you need (except flowers or small decorations).

Furniture

The company can also provide a range of tables (both round tables in 3ft-6ft diameter, and rectangular 6ft x 3ft trestle tables). All manner of padded chairs and even garden chairs can be supplied, together with 'chill-out' sofas, armchairs and more besides.

Lighting

Flint and Lambourn Marquees have a variety of lighting options available to help add that extra element to your wedding reception and create a genuine party atmosphere.

Pinspot Lights are perfect for highlighting specific points such as tables or the cake stand. Coloured uplighters can be placed by drapings to reinforce and reflect your chosen colour scheme, and four/eight-arm chandeliers finish the whole display off.

Don't forget about lighting the outside of the tent! This company can provide coloured halogen lights for stunningly dramatic effect and superb photographic opportunities.

Service

Olly will arrange a complimentary site visit, where he will assess the terrain at your venue, or the space in your back garden or field - it's a hugely important step in the planning process. This meeting will also involve a discussion of your requirements, including the number of guests to be accommodated, your theme/colour scheme etc.

Soon after, you will receive a quotation, a layout of your bespoke venue and a deposit will be paid. Other tweaks to the final marquee can be made in the run-up to the day.

Olly will provide all the set-up and take-down services - you won't have to lift a finger!

Flint and Lambourn solemnly undertake not to leave the venue space you have hired or your back garden or field untidy, but instead they will restore it to how it was before!
