About

Drive-Tech Ltd. is based at and operates on the historic Castle Combe Racing Circuit, described as 'one of the fastest in Britain' by Jeremy Clarkson. The track was built around the perimeter of a disused WWII airfield in 1950, and has hosted many motoring events over the years including F3 and more. The company run the dedicated karting track and off-road area on the south side.

Drive-Tech Ltd. was established in 1988 and can boast a whole host of associations and accreditations, including the Motorsport Association, National Karting Association, BORDA and IOPD, even founding the Association of Racing Kart Schools themselves.

Karting

What better way to have an amazing, adrenaline-pumping experience with your fellow Hens or Stags than tearing around a track in powerful 200cc racing karts? They can reach speeds of 30mph, which doesn't sound like much, but can actually be quite hairy.

Kart-racing takes place on a dedicated 350m track located at the south side of Castle Combe, next to the Hammerdown Building.

To give it a bit more edge, you and your Hens or Stags can indulge in the Grand Prix option, which includes around three hours of fun, qualifying heats, two semi-finals, a grand final and an awards ceremony complete with trophies. All equipment is provided.

Maximum Capacity - 48 Competitors

4x4 Off-Roading

For smaller groups of a maximum of 9, you and a fully-qualified instructor can tear around the challenging Castle Combe off-road course, with your fellow Hens or Stags in the back screaming, laughing or crying as appropriate! The format of 4x4 sessions is an instruction course, and you will go home with a well-earned certificate to show how much you have learned from the experience!

These sessions are carefully structured, comprising a mixture of your instructor and you driving the centre's amazing Land Rover Discoveries, and teach you how to get out of sticky situations including failed ascents, getting through water, over logs and more.

Skid-Pan

As a useful introduction to some more advanced driving skills, treat yourself and your Hens or Stags to a few twirls on a skid-pan course. Amazing instruction from the experts at Drive-Tech will teach you how to handle poor road conditions, fishtails and skids.

Facilities On Site

You and your party will be supplied with complimentary teas and coffees at various points during the day, and there are plenty of toilets available on site. Catering can also be provided when pre-booked. The karting arena has disabled access for spectators.

The day ran really well, the team at Drive-Tech were very professional but provided a relaxed atmosphere and allowed us to control and run the event exactly how we wanted within the rules. I would highly recommend karting at Castle Combe, great venue, great team, and a great track.
