Built many centuries ago, Downham Hall is located to benefit from the wonderful views of rural Essex; there is natural beauty everywhere you turn. It is located just below the second lowest peak in Essex and to the South there is the Thames estuary that meanders through the fields. It is designed for tranquillity but also ease, with civilisation just down the road - but it feels like you are the only people to exist.

Marquee
The Marquee is Downham Hall's largest space and is perfect for a whole day of celebrations including licensed ceremonies, meals, reception drinks and dancing. On sunny days the sides can be opened up to reveal the magnificent views over the moat and for colder days it is fully heated. Decoration can be crafted to suit your wedding style.

Standing capacity - 200 guests
The de Beauvior Suite
Named after the most significant family member who owned the Hall, this incredibly suite is perfect for ceremonies and sit-down meals. The suite also has an impressive bay window which is the perfect background for you 'I do'.

The Orangery
Located to the rear of the house, this predominately glass room is the one to choose if you love nature and want to be bathed in natural light. Views stretch across the South Wind gardens and the countryside beyond.

Bridal Changing Room
Downham believe that getting ready for you big day is part of the experience that's why their changing room is yours to relax and chat with loved ones before you walk down the aisle. It is equipped ready for you to bring hairdressers, make-up artists and more to ease the pre-wedding nerves.
