History
The outstanding Dauntsey Park House has its origins in the 14th century, held by the Dauntsey family from Malmesbury Abbey, before being subsequently passed on through many families across the years. With strong links to both Royalists and Parliament during the English Civil War, the building was latterly used as a nursery in the mid-20th century, run by the Anglo-American Red Cross for 150 Blitz children during WWII. With such history, the house has a prestigious Grade II*-listing.
