Darling Buds of Sussex

Tracey Kirker is an innovative florist that uses seasonal flowers, asymmetric designs and a few herbs to create stunning bouquets and decorations that reflect your personality. Her contemporary, more natural looking bouquets and boutonnieres are truly beautiful and even contain hidden meaning; Tracey adds rosemary for everlasting luck and lavender for love.

If you're hoping for a simple, elegant bouquet, or an extravagant, show-stopping design, Tracey will create whatever you desire. She will meet with you to discuss your ideas and wedding, using mood boards to help you find your perfect floral style. This brilliant florist can create bouquets, buttonholes, boutonnieres, centrepieces, floral arches and more.

About

Darling Buds of Sussex was created by Tracey Kirker. Her time spent training as a textile artist, combined with her passion for gardening, led Tracey to pursue a career in floral design. Throughout the years, she has come across all manner of different flowers, but her favourites are foxgloves, garden roses and nigella.

The Flowers

For your wedding, Tracey can create bouquets, buttonholes, boutonnieres, centrepieces, floral arches and much more. This brilliant florist uses sustainable, British-grown and locally sourced flowers where possible and often uses flowers from her garden at Barn Hatch in Lewes. When choosing the right flowers for each arrangement, Tracey often starts by selecting seasonal blooms, resulting in a bouquet or decoration that suits the time of year in which you're marrying.

Bouquets

Tracey specialises in creating bouquets with a more natural, asymmetric look. Trailing foliage, such as ivy, combines with beautiful blooms, such as roses and Chrysanthemum, to create an expressive, eye-catching arrangement. Tracey believes that a bride's bouquet should reflect her personality, so she'll spend much time getting to know you, your colour scheme and favourite flowers. Whether you'd like something simple or a little more elaborate, Tracey will tailor her natural, asymmetric style to your preferences.

Buttonholes and Boutonnieres

Whether you'd like a buttonhole (a single flower head) or a boutonniere (a group of small flower heads, foliage and herbs), Tracey will create a stunning design that perfectly suits your wedding.

Her boutonnieres often include herbs, chosen for both their look and meaning e.g. rosemary for luck. Not only do these herbs create an unusually beautiful design, but they also give your boutonniere significance beyond decoration.

The Service

Tracey offers her brides and grooms a very personal service. She will spend time getting to know you and your wedding in order to create flower arrangements that reflect your personality. If you have an exact vision for your bouquet, Tracey will work hard to re-create it beautifully. Alternatively, if you have no idea what you'd like, she will discuss ideas, use props and create mood boards to help you discover your perfect floral arrangements.
