History
Originally the estate was owned by the Orr Family who farmed Crondon Valley for many years. The estate was then taken over by the Fox Family who redeveloped the estate and opened on the 31st May 1994. They have never looked back since! The Baronial Hall is a real testament to the refurbishment with its original Tudor and Jacobean features, shipping timber beams and Rosewood floor. Weddings have been a huge success for the Estate since the opening in 1994 and have only gone from strength to strength having been awarded the best countryside wedding venue in Britain 2019.
Facilities
The Baronial Suite consists of three sections; the Baronial Hall, the Ryder ceremony room and the bar area.
The Baronial Hall
This is the main function room and it has the absolute wow factor! Built in 1606, you will see the light oak original beams twisting their way around the beautiful open space. The oak beams were originally ships timbers and it's no wonder they are considered fine examples of Tudor and Jacobean architecture.
The Baronial Suite as well as being visually grand, has some more distinguishing features. A Rosewood floor was purchased from Country Hall, Westminster Bridge, London and set in the Baronial Hall. It is laid in the original style and set in bitumen and is said to be one of the rarest block floors in the United Kingdom.

This room perfectly lends itself to ceremonies. It has an intimate and romantic feel with floor to ceiling fairy lights, wooden beams and patio doors looking out into the secluded garden. There are also fairy lit bay trees and cast iron chandeliers to add to the sense of grandeur.
