China Fleet Country Club

This luxury country club sits in Saltash just on the border of Cornwall and Devon and has two suites licenced to host ceremonies with many more options for your wedding breakfast and evening reception.

The club offers a wide range of facilities- everything the couple and guests need before the wedding. From a beautiful spa with outstanding facilities to relax before the big day, to an 18 hole golf course to enjoy at your leisure.

About

The China Fleet Country Club is the ultimate place of luxury and relaxation perfect for a getaway. Set in 180 acres of picturesque countryside, the club offers self-catering apartments and suites, an 18 hole golf course, a luxury health club and Aqua Spa, brasserie, bistro and wedding and conference facilities.

The country club is rich in history, originating in Hong Kong as a major rest and recreation centre for British and allied sailors. In 1986 a proposal was put forward to build the club in Saltash and the new China Fleet Country Club was opened in Cornwall in 1991.

China Fleet Country Club also are the winners of the 2023 South West Wedding Awards!

Facilities

There are two rooms licenced to host civil ceremonies and several other rooms that can be used for your wedding breakfast and evening reception. The ceremony and wedding breakfast rooms are separate so there is no need to wait around for staff to turn around the room! The China Fleet also ensure that only one wedding takes place per day.

Kingsmill Suite

Ideal for smaller and more intimate ceremonies, this suite is extremely versatile with a neutral colour scheme to match any theme.

Ceremony Capacity- 50 guests

South China Suite

For much larger ceremonies, hire the South China Suite. This contemporary-style room is a blank canvas ceremony suite.

Ceremony capacity- 150 guests

Atlantic Suite

This suite is absolutely perfect to host your wedding breakfast and evening reception. As the biggest suite available, it can host up to 200 guests and can be decorated to any style you prefer. With several large windows this suite has brilliant natural daylight allowing your wedding to be as bright as possible.

Evening reception capacity- 200 guests

Pacific Suite

Very similar to the Atlantic Suite but slightly smaller, this room is available for your wedding breakfast and evening reception. With pillars around the room adding elegance and extra decoration this suite can hold up to 150 guests.

The Farm House

For something a bit more exclusive and intimate, the farm house is separate from the other suites and can be used for your wedding breakfast and evening reception. This is for couples who just want to celebrate with very close family and friends. A wonderfully bright room, this contemporary style room is simple.

Evening reception- 80 guests

Catering

The China Fleet has a superb in house catering team who have created creative menus with exquisite dishes for you to select from. However, should you want to create your own menu, the kitchen team can create a bespoke menu suited to your personal tastes and requirements. They can offer a traditional sit-down meal or hot and cold buffets.

Accommodation

The country club has gorgeous, modern and open plan self-catering apartments available for you and your guests to stay. There is a mixture of standard, luxury and cottages for guests to retire to when the partying has finished. Two of these cottages are dog friendly! There are also disabled friendly apartments with ground floor access and plenty of space.

    Excellent venue, creating a fantastic day! Our wedding day exceeded our expectations. From the initial discussions down to the detailed planning arrangements, nothing was a problem for the China Fleet team. This took the stress away from the wedding party. They were amazing!
    Everything was perfect. The food, the venue, the accommodation, the staff were amazing, and best of all, the sun shone all day. We couldn't have wanted a better wedding day.     Julie from China fleet is absolutely amazing nothing was to much trouble for her. She always replied to my emails, got back to me as soon as she could and always put me at ease, she was always smiling.

    On the wedding day Julie and Kevin went above and beyond, they were fantastic running round after us and even putting our food on hold as we were running late. From helping me do my dress back up from going the toilet to putting all our stuff in our room. Kevin even went all way back to find my shoes so I could carry on having our pictures on the golf course as I needed my shoes on he went out of his way to make sure I had everything I needed.

    They were so friendly and helpful nothing was to much trouble, myself and my husband can't thank China fleet and especially Julie and Kevin enough. They were all amazing and they made our wedding day as special as I had always imagined it to be. If you want a perfect wedding and amazing scenery for your pictures then China fleet is the place to you.

    From Day 1 Julie Monk has been the most incredible "right hand woman" I know when you book a wedding anywhere that you book a whole host of staff to look after you, but at China Fleet you really do book the best in Julie & Kevin!

    Our day was was absolutely amazing! The whole set up & running of the entire wedding was done with so much care & precision, they really do care about their wedding couples, I genuinely believe that, which is why everything is perfect down to the placement of table confetti! Food was beautiful, the service of the waiting staff was commented on by so many people, everyone was served at the same time, no waiting around, always a topped of glass of wine for you.

    Bar staff were fab, no long queues for the entire evening, quick service & always with the best customer service. Kevin...every bride needs 1! From wrapping me up in a fur throw, to fanning out my veil in the middle of the golf course & quite literally running around for me all day...a million thank yous.

    The rooms are beautiful, the refurb has resulted in really modern, bright, gorgeous rooms, which by the way are massive & great for a big group to get ready in, the bridal suite is so lovely & waking up in there was the nicest end to what was the best day of my life. I really am going to miss Julie so much, she has been with me the past 18 months & she really did give me the most special day ever.

    My advice to anyone contemplating their wedding here is this: Do not hesitate, they will give you a wedding beyond every expectation. x
