The venues Japanese style gardens are a perfect photo backdrop. With the freedom to bring in your own caterers, your wedding can truly be unique. The barn features nine bedrooms for you and your guests to stay.
While the original barn and land dates back many years, the site as we now know it (Norfolk's most popular wedding venue) has been going for over twelve years.
Despite this relatively short time in the game they've already made a big name for themselves, recently being voted the Sixth best wedding venue in the whole of the UK, by the independent. After looking at the venue and meeting with their wedding team, it's hard to disagree with the voters.
Inside the Converted barn you'll find multiple spaces to host the different parts of your day.
Both the Pink Room and Game Room provide the perfect space for an intimate ceremony or reception. With hardwood floors, grand oak beams, and panoramic style windows providing plenty of natural light, they'll give your day a sense of rustic charm.

Another intimate space but with tall ceilings, stone floor, and cathedral style architecture, giving it an awe-inspiring quality, within an intimate setting.

Step outside the door into the gardens to find something a little more your speed, and size. With four acres of professionally maintained Japanese style gardens, and 16 acres of hearty British parkland beyond that, even the most popular of brides and grooms will struggle to completely fill this space.
There are three areas within the gardens that can host your ceremony; The Woodland glade, The Wildflower garden or the Topiary lawn.
You can set up a marquee for a large reception, following an intimate ceremony, have all aspects of the day outside, or open the doors during the reception to allow your guests to wonder outside for some fresh air.
With plenty of woodland, and an ancient stone circle located on the grounds, Chaucer barn can even accommodate couples looking to have a more spiritualistic wedding that strays away from the more traditional Christian style.
With nine bedrooms located with in the main building, and seven bathrooms, there's enough space for 18 members of the wedding party and/or guests to stay the night at Chaucer Barn. Whether you're looking to stay the night before, or save yourself a long journey home after the reception.
Brand new to Chaucer Barn are their five Eco-lodges. They are nestled into the woodland and can accommodate a further ten guests. The luxurious lodges are self-catering with en-suite shower rooms, kitchen facilities and a log burner. All within walking distance of the main Barn.
