Previously operating under sundry guises, such as Invention Studios, The Central Club and The Window Arts Centre, the not-for-profit Chapel Arts Centre acts as a convenient focal point for the local population. As a community arts centre, it often showcases a diverse number of Bath's essential projects or offers a space for local 'creatives', in addition to featuring national up-and-coming bands, ensembles, live music, film and dance - for instance, Flamenco.

The building housing The Chapel Arts Centre is known as Saint James' Memorial Hall, and is snugly and unobtrusively cloistered at the back of a beautiful bijou park.

Facilities

Evening Reception only

The Chapel Arts Centre can accommodate up to 100 people, who can celebrate in the high-ceilinged Auditorium, which can be laid out with cabaret-style tables for up to 100 without a buffet. If you want a buffet to be included in the space, then the hall can accommodate up to 80 guests.

This sprung smooth oak-floored room has showcased a wide variety of acts including film, theatre and live music since 2008. Its strength lies in the flexibility the space offers, for example the tables and chairs can be moved to create a fantastic dance space.

The Chapel Arts Centre can readily provide experienced staff to serve prosecco on arrival (£5.00 corkage charge) along with alcohol free options. You can also have an evening buffet from an outside catering provider of your own choice.

Evening Reception - (Monday-Thursday) from £650

Evening Reception - (Friday and Saturday) from £800

These prices include lighting, sound and bar staff for the night – there may be more costs involved, so please get in touch with the venue to firm this up.

Live Music and Other Entertainment

The Chapel Arts Centre's Auditorium is absolutely perfect for live music and other entertainment. This is mainly thanks to the room's fantastic acoustics (the best in Bath), and also the modern live performance technology, such as top-of-the-range lighting and a 28:8:2 multi-channel Soundcraft mixing desk.

Catering

There are no catering options onsite, however you are welcome to bring in your own external caterer to provide some tantalising treats for your guests into the evening. The venue kindly requests this remains as a buffet format.

Permanent Bar

The Chapel Arts Centre features a permanent and well-stocked bar which serves many local and organic beers, ciders and wines, along with non alcoholic options.
