Established in 2010, Brides Of Winchester is owned by Laura Ward who is passionate about supporting UK designers. Laura was prompted to start up her enterprise after frustrated attempts to find a high-quality, UK-designed bridal gown for her own wedding.

Laura previously worked as a wedding organiser in London and country house hotels. This has helped her develop her business ethos, which is to provide "truly exceptional customer service with exclusively handmade dresses, designed and made in Britain."

The ladies at BoW were so helpful and I knew I had picked the right shop right from the beginning. I tried on about ten different dresses and nothing was too much trouble, even my indecisiveness!
    We always felt welcome every time we visited and all questions were answered honestly, professionally and with utmost care and attention. In the end I went for a unique dress changing the top, matching the lace to the skirt and combining them both into one dress. I loved it! I adored wearing it and never wanted to take it off! I wish I could wear it to work!! I can't thank the ladies at BoW enough for my gorgeous dress and will send more professional photos once I get them!

The whole process of choosing the dress, fittings and also getting the most amazing tiara and umbrella (honestly girls - tiara's and a heart shaped umbrella is the way forward!) went so well - I wish I could do it all the time.
