The grounds on which the present house stands today were first owned by the Countess of Pembroke, and was recorded in 1342 as being a deer park. Over the next few centuries, the estate was extended to cover 300 acres of land, and the house went through minimal changes.
In the 18th century the estate was passed to the Du Cane family, who carried out extensive work to the house and gardens, and it was the third generation of this family who renamed the house Braxted Park.

Went to a wedding they were married at the church on the grounds then up to the main house for something to eat and wow the table service was second to none food was out of this world if you ever get a chance you should 100% go
The whole team at Braxted were amazing from the first time we viewed the venue through to the day itself. They walked us through every detail and helped us personalise everything.
The food was absolutely phenomenal. It was amazing at the tasting and was just as good on the day when they were catering for 100 people.
Kirsty, our on the day coordinator, was absolutely incredible. Everything ran so smoothly and she was prepared for everything and anything, including contingency plans for the rain which we thankfully didn't need!
The Pavillion is a stunning room for the reception, but it did cost quite a lot to decorate as we wanted. However, Braxted have a great relationship with Wedding Creative who made the room look stunning so it was 100% worth it.

We have just got married at Braxted Park this past Saturday and I cannot express how delighted I am with how it all went. It is a truly stunning venue and the thing that stands out is just how happy everyone who works there is. We have never been made to feel more special.
The food is absolutely top restaurant level and the grounds are breathtakingly beautiful.
Nick Pascoe as the Master of Ceremonies made the day go really smooth and added his sprinkling of class throughout. I can't recommend him highly enough.

Caroline made sure last minute requests were accommodated with zero fuss and the staff of an evening - including the lead gentleman who kept finding me to top up my drink - really were exceptional.

I have just returned from an amazing wedding held at Braxted Park. I have never been to a wedding venue like this before but it was absolutely stunning. My husband was the best man and I was a guest and everything from the staff to the accommodation was fabulous. Set in stunning and well maintained grounds, this venue is perfect for couples wanting to get married who are fortunate enough to have the budget to allow for this type of wedding. It depends what you want out of a wedding but for those wanting something grand and impressive then this is the venue for you. The stable rooms are lovely and comfortable, I only deducted one star as my husband took the pillow protector off to help the cleaners in the morning of our departure and the pillow was all stained yellow underneath, also a full English breakfast would have been nice as opposed to a continental given the fact that guest rooms are £150 a night. Overall a beautiful venue in a lovely location.

This is the most incredible wedding venue and our wedding on 28th May was perfect in every single way. The venue is stunning and so are the gardens. The staff are so accommodating and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Just wish we could do the day all over again.

Adam and I could not have asked for any more from Braxted Park for our wedding on March 25th. The staff were fantastic in the lead up to the big day and they made sure our day ran seamlessly from start to finish. Our day was absolutely perfect and we had so many compliments on the venue. Get married here. It really is a stunning venue with so much to offer.
Fantastic venue, lovely inside & out. Loved the garden lighting & we were lucky that it was just about warm enough wearing a coat or a wrap to stroll around them when they were lit up. Delicious food, Friendly staff & also very helpful when we had taxi problem, thought we were going to have to book a room to stay over!

I got married at Braxted park on the 6th August, words can't honestly express how amazing the day was and how beautiful the grounds are! The staff were exceptional and helped us with every detail and were so lovely and friendly. Tiffany was our front of house manager on the day and she was amazing! Honestly, it's an amazing venue, now looking back at my wedding pictures I'm amazed at how lovely everything was! Definitely would recommend to everyone.
My husband and I got married in Braxted Park on November 4th. Our experience from start to finish exceeded all expectations, absolute perfection! Victoria showed us around and made sure everything was organised before the day, she really made us feel like we were in safe hands. Tiffany was with us on the day and ensured that everything ran smoothly, I could relax fully on the day knowing she was around. All the members of staff are so friendly and many of our guests commented on this.
The venue itself is breathtaking, I loved the orangery and pavilion and the grounds outside are so picturesque. The bridal cottage is also amazing. Everyone had the best time and that's all thanks to the Braxted Park staff and the way the venue is run. We couldn't ask for a better start to married life, thank you so much!!!
Our wedding was held at Braxted Park on the 14th October and we can honestly say it was the best day of our lives! We truly believe we found our dream venue and it lived up to everything we wanted and more. As soon as we came to visit it last October, we knew straight away we didn't need to see any other venues-we had found the one. Not only is it absolutely gorgeous but the staff were amazing from day 1. Michelle was very helpful from the first day we came to visit and was always on hand to answer any questions we had (and there was a lot!). We were blown away by Jonathon and Caroline on the day, as we believe they played a lead role in making our wedding run smoothly from start to finish. Nothing we asked for was too much trouble and it meant we could relax and enjoy the day. Bolly and I would 100% recommend this venue to any couple looking to get married and wish we could find another excuse to come back!

My husband and I were married at Braxted Park on 6th May 2017 and we could not have asked for the day to have been any better! From the moment we first visited Braxted Park we both knew it was the venue for us - the level of service & support received both from Victoria during our first viewing through to the day itself, along with Jonathan our front of house manager, was exceptional! The day ran without a hitch allowing us both to relax and enjoy the day - this could not have happened without the efforts and support of Victoria and Jonathan. The venue itself is stunning and was a perfect size and layout for the day we had in mind. Having All Saints Church on site was the icing on the cake. Highly recommend this venue to anybody planning their wedding - you will not be disappointed!
My wedding was here on the 28th August, words cannot explain how perfect the whole day was. I can't imagine how stressful getting married would have been without the help from everyone at Braxted Park! They made everything so easy and helped through every step. The day ran like clockwork but all of our guests praised us on what a relaxed day it was, that was all down to the careful planning going on behind the scenes. They went above and beyond to make sure every last person was happy, comfortable especially my husband and I. Couldn't imagine having our special day anywhere else. Literally was the best day ever!! My sister got married here on 24th August and it was absolutely amazing! Johnathan was brilliant and so helpful and all staff were lovely. The grounds are stunning and had a great flow for all of the different parts of the wedding. We also stayed in the rooms at the venue which are lovely - breakfast was amazing in the morning. A huge thank you for making the day such a memorable one (if I got married again, it would be here!)

How do you even begin to thank them!! Braxted Park was amazing from start to finish, the grounds are absolutely stunning, the people are so kind and helpful! Was lucky enough to deal with Victoria, Carol & Jonathan and they were THE BEST! All of our wedding guests commented on how lovely all of the staff were and how they hadn't been to a wedding like it! Nothing was too much trouble! We had the most amazing day all thanks to them and cannot praise them enough for everything they did! So organised, so calm - everything was PERFECT! It was all amazing from day one.. this was the first wedding venue we looked at and immediately we were both blown away by the venue, grounds and how welcomed we were by Victoria. All through our planning and organisation the team have always adviced and helped in every way possible. Our day went so smoothly, no hiccups it was absolutely everything we wanted, Victoria, Janet and Tiffany made it PERFECT for us as they took on board all the things we have asked for, Tiffany made me a relaxed Bride as she was always reassuring everything was under control which was fantastic. They really do treat you 100% as individuals and will meet your dream wedding in every way you desire. Clare and I are were very impressed with the level of service provided to us on the day and also in the lead up to the wedding. We thought the planning was excellent, we felt totally at ease that everything was in hand and under control, it really made the week before the wedding a fairly stress free experience.
