Firstly, let us congratulate you on landing here. That was a very smart move indeed. Let us tell you all about Boconnoc and why you must book your Cornish wedding here. Boconnoc is a family run estate and this is clear by the incredible restoration that has occurred over the past 12 years. The family are delighted to throw open the doors and welcome you over the threshold into your home from home wedding experience. Boconnoc is a wedding haven for those of you who have a wedding vision and want to bring it to life in a truly enchanting setting. So why not throw caution to the wind and book a weekend of fun and frivolities at this extraordinary location. The options are endless; whiskey or gin tasting the night prior to your wedding, an early morning paddleboard on the estate lake or a family vs friends cricket match the day after the wedding. These are the stories that will live on.

On the estate is an 800-year-old church, or alternatively you can have a civil or humanist ceremony within the grounds of the house. The beautiful gardens make a picture-perfect spot to enjoy canapes and clink glasses with views spanning the parkland. Your wedding breakfast will be a feast for the eyes, and stomach, before you and your guests enjoy watching the sunset by the firepits before turning up the music and dancing the night away.

About

After twelve years of renovation, there is nothing more that the owners enjoy than filling the house with love and laughter. They want you to step inside and feel instantly at home. Boconnoc is such a special place, a place that has hosted many family get togethers. The invitation is now extended to you, offering you and your guests a home from home experience to celebrate your special day in style.

Facilities

Civil or Humanist Ceremony

You are able to host your ceremony in a few spectacular locations across the Boconnoc estate. The dramatic Boconnoc House sets the scene for a romantic love story, whilst the 18th Century Stable Yard, Bath House or Dorothy Garden are all equally as stunning in their own ways. The choice is yours. Each of these locations can host up to 200 guests for a ceremony. If you are looking for a humanist ceremony, the possibilities are endless. Perhaps you fancy a striking backdrop on the lawns in front of the stately house or a whimsical affair by the lake.

Rustic cross back chairs and a table for the officiant are provided by Boconnoc, one more thing ticked off the list.

Church Wedding

The historic church seats 240 people but is equally cosy for a smaller wedding. The church is full of unique details, available to those with a keen eye. The stained-glass window is said to be Pre-Raphaelite.

Drinks Reception on The Lawn

Champagne on ice, the hum of happy chatter, spectacular views, delicious canapes and the sun beaming down; what could be better! If the weather doesn't play ball, you and you guests will sip and nibble in the elegant and spacious Drawing Room. The ornate setting and modern art create a perfectly sophisticated location to soak up all the happiness.

Wedding Breakfast

Natural light illuminates this captivating space as light pours in from three sides. The Garden Room can seat 100 guests for a sit-down meal. Opening out onto the wisteria filled terrace, this is a truly romantic setting. The terrace can accommodate a marquee for up to 240 quests if required.

The Party

The Smoking Room is the hub where all the fun happens. With red walls and solid oak features, this room provides a quirky nightclub vibe, perfect for showing off those dance moves.

Catering

With an extensive list of tried and tested wedding caterers, you will be in for a treat when selecting your wedding feast. A whole array of taste bud tantalising treats are on offer, all with one thing in common; a guaranteed exceptional culinary experience.

You can provide your own wine and champagne for your drink's reception and wedding breakfast. For the evening reception the Boconnoc bar will open, where your guests can purchase drinks or you can put money behind the bar.

Accommodation

The fun at Boconnoc doesn't stop at midnight. There is accommodation for up to 40 guests across the main house and three cottages within the Stable Yard. The stunning bedroom interiors have been designed by Sarah Fortescue and promise a high-end luxury stay in a rural rustic location.

The main house sleeps 19 guests, with an additional nine extra bedrooms in the cottages if required. For the newlyweds, The King's Bedroom is recommended for the wedding night, with its dramatic Palladian windows boasting views across the enchanting parkland.

For larger wedding parties there is also the option of glamping within the Dorothy Garden. A tented village for your wedding party not only sounds fantastic, but also practical, ensuring taxis and drivers are not required when carriages are called.

Additional Extras

The team at Boconnoc do things a little differently to your average wedding venue. If you are looking to add some extra magic and sparkle into your wedding, then they have you covered. There are plenty of extras that are available to you, all you have to do is ask!

How does champagne and oysters in a 19th century marble ice bath sound? Or a tractor ride to the top of the estate to view the undisturbed Cornish sky and stars. Gin and whisky tasting are available for a pre or post wedding treat. The grounds provide a plethora of opportunities, ping pong is up for the taking in the games room, or paddle boarding on the lake. If you're feeling brave, take a wild swim in the lake for a fully immersive experience.

Further afield from the estate you're blessed by a selection of stunning Cornish beaches and quaint seaside villages. This really could be your wedding paradise, it sure sounds like ours.
