As a Grade II-listed structure, with elements of Roman, Medieval and Tudor right through to Victorian concealed in its architecture, this hostelry welcomes ceremonies and receptions of all shapes and sizes at all times of the year. The Rose And Crown boasts a complete range of beautiful self-contained reception rooms and function suites, all featuring lovely old oak panels and beams.

Facilities

The hotel presents three small-to-large-sized function rooms. The self-contained Rose Suite, with its own separate entrance, toilets, dancefloor and a bar, is the most popular of these. The antique wood-panelled Oak Room serves as the most suitable venue for larger gatherings. Finally the Prison Wine Bar provides a small area for intimate family wedding ceremonies, as well as a quirky alternative to the more traditional, larger function room.

Maximum capacity for each of the above rooms is as follows:-

Rose Suite - 100 Guests for Evening Reception Party

Oak Room - 160 Guests for Ceremony or Wedding Breakfast

Bespoke packages are showcased in the hotel's brochures and website, each including - as standard - reception room hire and complimentary accommodation for the bride and groom. With increasing quality, the packages begin to incorporate additional elements such as an evening buffet or the hire of a resident DJ.

    What an absolutely fantastic place to have our wedding! From the time we booked this as our venue to the day itself I knew we were in safe hands. Everyone was so attentive on the night, making sure everyone was happy and it all went so smoothly. The food was amazing, we've had so many of our guests say how lovely both the wedding breakfast and evening buffet was. Could not recommend The Rose and Crown more. It's the best!
