About
Since the twelfth century, there has been a dwelling on this site, once owned by a woodsman of King Henry I. The barns and the current hall, dating back to the reign of Henry VIII, still boast their original timber framing, ornate plasterwork, and stone fireplaces.
Upon the current owner's arrival, the barns were in a state of disrepair, but as listed buildings, they recognised their inherent potential. As the restoration progressed, they realised the opportunity to create something truly extraordinary that could be shared with others, becoming a part of their stories as well. And thus, Barns & Yard came to life.
