Azure Function Band

Rarely does an ensemble so musically talented and well-balanced come together in a function band. Azure are bursting with vibrance, fun and energy, and pack an on-stage presence like no other. Based in the South East of England, but travelling to weddings across the nation, this flexible and adaptable band plays with their fingers on the pulse throughout the night.

Azure is a handpicked, well-tuned outfit. Coming together in 2007, they were an instant hit at weddings, parties and other events throughout London and the South East. As their reputation spread, they quickly found themselves in demand across the UK.

Meet The Band

Vocalist Tom George leads the pack with a rich, roaring voice, followed by Stuart Bahn on the guitar, Justin Swadling on keyboard, Dave Troke on bass, Ed Williams on drums, Nathan Hawkens on the sax and finally Jenny Deacon as an additional female vocalist.

Repertoire

Azure has a huge repertoire, gathered over 9 years of professional play.

From modern to classic pop, classic indie and rock, rock 'n' roll, disco soul and funk, not to mention a wide range of popular first dances, such as All I Got by Newton Faulkner, Fields Of Gold by Sting and One Day Like This by Elbow.

Azure is always expanding their repertoire. As the new popular hits come in, the band learns and practices them and absorbs them into the roster.

Performance and Audio

Band Size

Azure comes in a range of sizes, from four to seven. The most popular setup is their five piece, which includes all musicians bar the sax and vocals. The four piece band is also a great choice for those with limited space and a tighter budget.

The performance time and number of sets depends on the band size and your timings for the night, but varies from 2-2.5hrs and 2-3 sets.

Azure at Weddings

With all the experience the band has, Azure knows that timings on the day can go astray. You don't need to commit to a specific start time; just an approximate time to start setting up and the ensemble will begin playing when they deem it appropriate.

Azure Function Band are more than willing to perform the music for your first dance. Either select a song from their extensive repertoire or ask them to learn a piece of your choice. They provide this service at no additional charge!

Peace of Mind

Azure is a fully professional and self-contained outfit, and as such come equipped with their own sound and lighting equipment, and even play a professionally mixed playlist during their performance break.
